    Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for switching display mode and an electronic device. The method includes: detecting whether a first instruction for switching a display mode of the electronic device from the first display mode to the second display mode is received, in the case that the electronic device is in the first display mode; stopping synthesizing current data to be displayed in the first display mode and determining a second display unit corresponding to the second display mode, if the first detection result shows that the first instruction is received; determining a display channel corresponding to the second display unit, based on the corresponding relation between the display channel and the display unit; and synthesizing current data to be displayed in the second display mode, and transmitting the current data to be displayed in the second display mode to the second display unit to display it.
