    Abstract: The disclosure illustrates a composite substrate and a method for manufacturing the same, the method including: disposing a mask layer on an upper surface of a substrate; forming a plurality of mask patterns spaced apart from each other to form a plurality of intervals thereamong; filling a dummy metallic material into the intervals; removing the mask patterns to form a mesh-like dummy metallic layer; and removing the dummy metallic layer while depositing a nitride layer so as to form a mesh-like structure confined by the nitride layer and the substrate. The disclosure also illustrates a method for manufacturing a light-emitting device using the composite substrate.

    Abstract: A wireless power transmitter can include a wireless power transfer coil designed to magnetically couple with a corresponding coil in a wireless power receiver to facilitate wireless power transfer from the wireless power transmitter to the wireless power receiver, a power converter configured to drive the wireless power transfer coil, and control and communications circuitry coupled to the wireless power transfer coil and the power converter. The control and communications circuitry can be configured to operate the power converter to drive the wireless power transfer coil so as to transfer power to the wireless power receiver in accordance with a negotiated power transfer. Simultaneously during power transfer, the control and communications circuitry can send a polling signal to detect a foreign object including a wireless transponder and reduce or stop wireless power transfer upon receiving a response to the polling signal from a foreign object including a wireless transponder.

    Abstract: An identity authentication method is disclosed in embodiments of the present application. When a requester and an authentication access controller perform identity authentication using an authentication mechanism of a pre-shared key, the identity information of entities is transmitted in the form of ciphertext, thereby preventing the identity information of the entities from being exposed during the transmission, so that attackers cannot obtain private or sensitive information. The mutual or unilateral identity authentication between the authentication access controller and the requester is achieved while ensuring the confidentiality of the entity identity and related information, thereby laying a foundation for ensuring that the user accessing the network is legitimate and/or the network accessed by the user is legitimate.

In one example, among others, a hybrid direct current circuit breaker (DCCB) includes an ultrafast mechanical switch (UFMS) connected in series with a commutating switch (CS) or auxiliary circuit breaker (ACB); a main breaker (MB) including a series of ? semiconductor switching stages in parallel with the UFMS and CS or ACB; and control circuitry that can turn off individual switching stages in a defined order in response to opening contacts of the UFMS. The switching stages can be turned off based upon a dielectric strength across the contacts as they open. In another example, a method includes opening contacts of an UFMS connected in series with a CS or ACB; and turning off individual switching stages of a series of ? semiconductor switching stages connected across the UFMS and the CS or ACB.

The apparatus may function as a resonant converter, or may operate in non-resonant mode. In one implementation, an H bridge may provide reactive power support. An inductor filter may be in electrical communication with the secondary transformer coil.
