  • Publication number: 20050154714
Abstract: A request to execute a query is received in a database system. In response, the database system determines that a collection of data elements to be returned by the query corresponds to a first data structure not defined within a type dictionary of the database system. The database system obtains attribute values that describe respective data fields within the first data structure, and records, within the type dictionary, a first data type definition that specifies the data fields described by the attribute values.

  • Publication number: 20050154715
Abstract: Dynamic return type generation in a database system. A request is received to execute a first function. A second function is executed if the first function is defined to return data in a first type of data structure. When executed, the second function returns formatting information that indicates an arrangement of fields of data within the first type of data structure. The first function is executed to obtain a collection of data formatted according to the first type of data structure, and the collection of data is organized according to the formatting information returned by the second function.

  • Publication number: 20050068927
Abstract: This invention discloses a method of transmitting data through Local Area Network by abandoning the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to eliminate the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) and avoid unnecessary delay and communication flow. The present invention also abandons the concept of TCP/IP address, so that it is not necessary to maintain the huge TCP/IP address database in wireless LAN in order to implement the gapless roaming and reduce packet conflict during the transmission process by defining a smaller capacity for the data packet head in the high-speed wireless LAN standard IEEE 802.11 protocol.

  • Publication number: 20040064690
Abstract: A method for applying for crypto-keys from a network system. The network system includes at least a user, an access point for identifying the user, and a server for generating a pair of distinct crypto-keys based on a first algorithm. The method includes using the access point to identify the user, and the server generating a pair of distinct crypto-keys based on the first algorithm and transmitting the pair of keys to the user via the access point. The method further includes the user using the pair of keys to encrypt a document and then transmitting the encrypted document to another user.
