    Abstract: The invention is related to lossless compression of prefix-suffix-codes wherein a prefix comprises unary code, and to corresponding decompression. The method for lossless compressing prefix-suffix-codes comprises the steps of forming a first contiguous bit sequence from the prefixes, and lossless compressing the first contiguous bit sequence by removing redundancy related to the difference between the first value's frequency in the first contiguous bit sequence and the second value's frequency in the first contiguous bit sequence. Bit values are unevenly distributed in the prefixes while distribution of bit values in the suffixes is more even. Therefore, better compression is achievable if the prefixes are compressed separately.

Upon receiving known problem symptoms of the current problem from the customer, a search of problem causes is conducted in a knowledge database to find potential causes corresponding to the known problem symptoms. If conventional techniques cannot determine the target cause of the current problem, an attribute is selected which is not among the attributes associated with the known problem symptoms in the database. The attribute selection is based on the attribute deemed most likely to identify the target cause of the current problem from among the potential causes found in the knowledge database.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a novel method for trace phosphate removal from water by using a composite resin. Firstly, adjusting the pH value of the raw water to 5.0˜9.0 and prefiltering the water, then leading the filtrate through an absorption tower packed with the composite resin, the trace phosphate in the water is therefore absorbed onto the composite resin; stopping the absorption run when it reaches the leakage point, using a binary NaOH-NaCl solution as the regenerant of the exhausted sorbent, followed by rinsing the composite resin-filled absorption tower with saturated carbon dioxide solution to regenerate the resin. In this invention, a composite resin with nanosized hydrated ferric oxide (HFO) or hydrous manganese dioxide (HMO) particles loaded on its surface is adopted as the absorbent for enhanced phosphate removal from water. A significant decrease of phosphate content in the effluent from this treatment system is found from 0.

    Abstract: An LED illumination system includes an LED lamp, a voltage stabilizing circuit and a control circuit. The LED lamp includes an LED string which has a plurality of LEDs connected in series. The voltage stabilizing circuit connects the LED lamp for supplying an electric current to the LED string. The control circuit includes an MCU and a MOSFET connected between the MCU and the LED string. The MCU detects the electric current flowing through the LED string and outputs a PWM signal which has a frequency within a range from 60 Hz to 500 Hz to the MOSFET. The MOSFET receives the PWM signal from the MCU and turns on and off repeatedly under a control of the PWM signal, to make a flicker frequency of the LEDs of the LED string be within a predetermined range.

A phase noise detector is responsive to the laser wavelength for generating a phase error signal and a second current generator is responsive to the phase error signal for generating a compensation current added to the driving current supplied to the laser source for generating a phase-adjusted laser signal. The device therefore defines a phase stabilization loop formed by the phase noise detector and the second current generator, for reducing the phase noise of the laser signal.
