    Abstract: An optical sensor includes a pixel array of pixel cells. Each pixel cell includes photodiodes to photogenerate charge in response to incident light and a source follower to generate an image data signal in response to the charge photogenerated from the photodiodes. An image readout circuit is coupled to the pixel cells to read out the image data signal generated from the source follower of at least one of the pixel cells of a row of the pixel array. An event driven circuit is coupled to the pixel cells to read out the event data signals generated in response to the charge from the photodiodes of another row of the pixel cells of the pixel array. The image readout circuit is coupled to read out the image data signal and the event driven circuit is coupled to read out the event data signals from pixel array simultaneously.

    Abstract: Various apparatuses, systems, methods, and media are disclosed to provide a heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) medium that has a media carbon dual-layer media carbon overcoat with both a carbon layer and a carbon-nitrogen (CN) layer. The carbon layer may be a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) carbon layer and the CN layer may be a sputtered CN layer. The dual-layer media carbon overcoat helps reduce a laser power requirement of an HAMR disk drive system and thus reduce the operating temperature of a near field transducer (NFT) of a HAMR disk drive. The dual-layer overcoat can also improve thermal and thermo-oxidative stability of the media and help retain a lubricant provided on the overcoat, therefore improving HAMR head-media interface reliability. The dual-layer media carbon overcoat can also reduce carbonaceous smear within a head-media gap.

    Abstract: A construction method and an application of a digital human cardiovascular system based on hemodynamics are provided, the construction method comprising: partitioning various parts of a human body according to a distributed hemodynamic monitoring system, and determining granularity of a digital human model system; constructing an arterial blood flow transmission equation based on an elastic tube model for arteries, and defining physiological significance for characteristic values of the equation; inputting signals, characteristic values and hemodynamic parameters acquired by the distributed hemodynamic monitoring system into the digital human model system; and obtaining a dynamic and distributed digital human cardiovascular system through finite element calculation. An individual dynamic digital human model based on hemodynamics is constructed through the distributed characteristic values of various parts of the human body and the calculated hemodynamic parameters.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to pretreating a magnetic recording head to increase the lifetime of the magnetic media drive. A transparent smear is purposefully formed on the magnetic recording head to ensure the magnetic recording head does not overheat and lead to a short drive lifetime. The transparent smear is formed from material found in the magnetic media. The transparent smear is formed by pretreating the magnetic recording head with the transparent material from the magnetic media. The pretreating occurs without writing any data to the magnetic media. Once the transparent smear is in place, writing may occur. The magnetic recording head can be retreated at a later time should the transparent smear degrade. Furthermore, if an optically absorbing smear develop, it can be removed and a new transparent smear may be formed.
