A 3D scene is displayed and consists of a first object that is displayed in the foreground and a second object that is occluded or partially occluded by the first object. An object selection option is activated. A transparency threshold value is defined for the first object. A location in the displayed 3D scene is selected. Such a location is located on a portion of the first object that occludes the second object. Based on the transparency threshold value and the location, either the first object or the second object is selected and displayed in a visually distinguishable manner.
