  • Patent number: 10218416
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a network device (e.g., an access point) that dynamically arranges multi-user (MU) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) compatible client devices into MU-MIMO groups. That is, the network device uses network metrics and historical data to change the assignment of client devices in the MU-MIMO groups which may improve MU-MIMO efficiency by reducing the amount of power that leaks between the clients devices in the group. In one embodiment, the AP identifies a MU-MIMO group based on a performance evaluation such as evaluating network metric or determining if the group is underutilized. The AP can replace the identified MU-MIMO group with a substitute MU-MIMO group where the substitute MU-MIMO group is selected based on historical data corresponding to the client devices assigned to the substitute MU-MIMO group.

  • Publication number: 20180288625
Abstract: A mobile device transmits data over a shared spectrum in an uplink channel to a base station in a contention-based access scheme. The mobile device obtains data to be wirelessly transmitted over the shared spectrum in the uplink channel to the base station. The uplink channel is formatted with a frame/subframe structure with a predetermined timing. The mobile device determines whether the shared spectrum is free for transmission according to a listen before transmit procedure. When the shared spectrum is free for transmission, the mobile device contends with other mobile device to gain access to the uplink channel. After gaining access to the uplink channel, the mobile device transmits the data over the shared spectrum in the uplink channel to the base station.

  • Patent number: 10057416
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods concerning routing of calls in an IPBX server are disclosed. A first processing circuit is communicatively coupled to an IPBX server that routes VoIP calls for a plurality of end-users having respective VoIP-enabled devices and generates call event messages for the routed calls. The first processing circuit generates call summary metrics from the call event messages. A second processing circuit evaluates the call summary metrics to identify a set of incoming calls to the IPBX that were missed and have not been returned by the end-users. The second processing circuit cross-correlates the identified set of incoming calls with a secondary data source to determine a respective priorities for the set of incoming calls. The second processing circuit stores data indicating calls of the identified set have a higher priority.
