  • Publication number: 20250090832
Abstract: A blood pump with a stator and rotor wherein the rotor is assembled by bonding the stator components with epoxy. The bonding surfaces of the rotor components are primed with a silane-based primer to improve adhesion between the primer and the rotor components by rendering such surfaces hydrophobic. A bonding surface of one of the stator yoke or the stator sleeve, or both, is treated with a primer that improves wettability of the bonding surface and improves bonding of the epoxy to the binding surface. The device has a bonding surface adhered to epoxy in which a primer was applied on such bonding surface prior to introducing epoxy onto the bonding surface. In addition to improved bond strength, hydrophobic surface would control moister ingress.

  • Publication number: 20230051950
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing hemodynamic support to a patient with an intravascular blood pump are disclosed. In some implementations, the blood pump includes a motor and an improved motor cable for delivering electrical power to the motor. The motor includes a stator with one or more coils. The motor cable includes one or more electrical conduits. The motor cable also includes a tail portion and a head portion. In some implementations, the head portion may have an O-shape or a C-shape. The motor cable may reduce the complexity of assembling the blood pump. For example, the motor cable may reduce the risk of shorting the one or more coils and/or the one or more electrical conduits.

  • Patent number: 10250101
Abstract: A balanced planetary gearbox including an assembly having an input stage and an output stage. The assembly includes two grounds, each with ground rollers and ground rings. The two grounds are fixedly attached to one another. The assembly includes a sun gear and planet sub-assemblies between the two grounds. The planet sub-assemblies include at least one input planet gear and one output planet gear. The sun gear and the input planet gears include rollers. An abutment of rollers in the gearbox keeps the sun gear and the planet gears in alignment. The output gear meshes with an output ring disposed in between the two ground rings, such that a combination of the at least one input planet gears from each of the plurality of planet sub-assemblies provides a structural symmetry to the planetary gearbox.
