  • Patent number: 11814355
Abstract: A method for synthesizing pitavastatin tert-butyl ester includes obtaining a substance B through reacting (4R-CIS)-6-chloromethyl-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane-4-acetic acid tert-butyl ester with a substance A under the action of a first base catalyst, 5 oxidizing with an oxidizing agent to obtain a substance C, then reacting with 2-cyclopropyl-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-quinoline-3-formaldehyde under the action of a second base catalyst to obtain a substance D, and finally, carrying out an acid deprotection to obtain pitavastatin t-butyl ester. The reaction conditions of the present invention are mild and controllable, and the reaction conditions of the synthesis of the Julia olefination do 10 not require an ultra-low temperature reaction. The operation is convenient and simple, the stereoselectivity is good, the yield is high, and the synthesized pitavastatin t-butyl ester is a completely non-cis isomer, and its purity is high.

  • Publication number: 20220127169
Abstract: REM systems for disinfecting water, which includes a tank, a membrane anode, a cathode, and a conductive contactor, is disclosed. The conductive contactor is in direct contact with the membrane anode. The conductive contactor is in electrical communication with the cathode. The REM systems can further contain an inlet and an outlet for supplying water into the tank and removing water out of the tank respectively. The membrane anode includes a carbon-based material. In the most preferred embodiment, the membrane anode includes layers of activated carbon fiber cloth (ACFC). The membrane anode functions as both the anodic electrode that produces electrochemical reaction and the membrane filter. In one preferred embodiment, the membrane anode generates reactive oxygen species from water oxidation reaction that is effective in disinfecting pathogens in water. Methods of making and using the REM systems are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9957172
Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods for removing a PFC by concentration and separation. In an exemplary method, a PFC in an aqueous solution or in a mixed water-organic solvent solution can be adsorbed onto a surface of a floc generated by electroflocculation, to form sludge. The sludge containing the PFC can be centrifuged to separate the PFC from the sludge and to form a concentrated PFC solution. Eelectroflocculation provides a simple process that is easy to operate. Reaction conditions are mild. Energy consumption is low. Treatment effect is desirable, stable, and reliable. Industrial application can be easy to implement. Further, the centrifugal separation technology used for the harmless treatment of the generated PFC-containing sludge is novel and does not need to use chemicals. Further, dewatering of the sludge is achieved at the same time during the harmless treatment. The needed equipment is simple and can be automatically operated.
