    Abstract: It discloses a sustained release grouting material, a preparation method and an application thereof; the sustained release grouting material comprises a water swelling core and a water-soluble sustained release coating, the water swelling core is composed of bentonite, SAP and xanthan gum, which is granulated by disc granulator relying on the cohesiveness of xanthan gum; the water-soluble sustained-release coating is prepared by mixing water-soluble starch, polyvinyl alcohol, poloxamer, lubricant and plasticizer with deionized water to obtain a film-forming solution, and the film-forming solution is coated on a coating machine; the invention uses a coating machine to coat a layer of slow-release coating on the surface of the water-absorbing expansion core, and adjusts the coating thickness by controlling the mass ratio of the coating film-forming liquid to the water-absorbing expansion core particles, so as to realize the controllable water absorption onset time of the expansion core.

In an embodiment, a method may include monitoring a communication over a network and detecting portions of the communication including packets having a different packet payload sizes. The method may also include deriving bit rates corresponding to those portions. The method may then include calculating MOS values for each portion based on the derived bit rates, and calculating an overall MOS value for the communication based upon each individual MOS value averaged according to a distribution of packets having the different packet payload sizes.

    Abstract: Included in a speech synthesizer, a natural language processing unit divides text data, input from a text input unit, into a plurality of components (particularly, words). An importance prediction unit estimates an importance level of each component according to the degree of how much each component contributes to understanding when a listener hears synthesized speech. Then, the speech synthesizer determines a processing load based on the device state when executing synthesis processing and the importance level. Included in the speech synthesizer, a synthesizing control unit and a wave generation unit reduce the processing time for a phoneme with a low importance level by curtailing its processing load (relatively degrading its sound quality), allocate a part of the processing time, made available by this reduction, to the processing time of a phoneme with a high importance level, and generates synthesized speech in which important words are easily audible.
