    Abstract: A method of MPLS network traffic switching is provided herein. The method includes these steps: receiving a message indicative of creating a new LSP successfully, and generating a new uplink forwarding entry and a new downlink forwarding entry according to the message; storing the new uplink forwarding entry, and configuring the new downlink forwarding entry; configuring the new uplink forwarding entry upon completion of configuring the new downlink forwarding entry; and forwarding the traffic according to the new uplink forwarding entry and the new downlink forwarding entry. By ensuring the sequence of processing the events in the traffic switching process, the method reduces the probability of traffic interruption in the traffic switching process. A network node device for implementing MPLS network traffic switching is also provided herein.

    Abstract: A RSVP node apparatus and interaction method thereof are provided. The method includes transmitting a first message to a neighboring node of a RSVP-based first node when the RSVP-based first node disables the RSVP HELLO mechanism. When the neighboring node receives the message, it sets a sign indicating that the first node has disabled the RSVP HELLO mechanism and maintains the LSP passing through the first node, according to the disabled status of the RSVP HELLO mechanism of the first node. Prior to transmitting the first message, the first node queries if the neighboring node has enabled the RSVP HELLO mechanism, and transmits the first message only to neighboring node which enables the RSVP HELLO mechanism.

    Abstract: A method for protecting a label switched path is disclosed. The method includes: setting, in a record_route object node list, interface classification identifications in record_route objects corresponding to interfaces of resource reservation protocol nodes respectively, and delivering the list downstream; when a downstream resource reservation protocol node receives the record_route object node list from upstream, finding, by the downstream resource reservation protocol node, a record_route object node corresponding to a last outgoing interface of a nearest outgoing interface in the record_route object node list according to the interface classification identifications, and setting next next hop protection for a corresponding label switched path according to a protection identification of the record-route object node. A system and device for protecting a label switched path are also disclosed. With the invention, an RSVP node may implement NNHOP protection for an upstream LSP correctly.
