  • Publication number: 20240186639
Abstract: A battery module includes a cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells is stacked along a predetermined stacking direction. A pair of end plates are disposed on both end faces of the cell stack in the stacking direction. A mid-plate is disposed in an intermediate portion of the cell stack and has a pair of main faces facing the battery cell, —a plurality of side faces each connecting outer edges of the pair of main faces, and a recess on at least one of the side faces, the recess extending in a cross direction that intersects the stacking direction. A first belt has an outer belt portion disposed outside of the end plate in the stacking direction and an inner belt portion disposed in the recess, the first belt holding the battery cells stacked between the end plate and the mid-plate from both sides in the stacking direction.

  • Publication number: 20240021919
Abstract: Batteries and an electric apparatus are disclosed. The battery includes: a plurality of battery cells arranged in a first direction; an end plate disposed at an end of the plurality of battery cells in the first direction; and an insulating member for connecting with the end plate, where the insulating member is arranged on the top surface of the end plate in a second direction, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction; where the insulating member has a maximum length A in a third direction, the end plate has a maximum length B in the third direction, where A?0.9B and the third direction is perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. The battery provides strength and insulation requirements on the end plate in normal use of the battery, but also reduces risks of high voltage short circuit in thermal runaway of the battery.
