Abstract: The invention discloses an intelligent dual-sided library book retrieval and return system and method. The system comprises a double-sided bookshelf unit with one side designated for robotic operations and the opposite side for manual operations, a multi-level spatial coding positioning system for precise tray location, a vertical partitioning and retrieval slot interaction unit dividing the bookshelf into manual and robotic areas, and a robotic clamping mechanism for handling standardized book trays. The invention improves safety, accuracy, and efficiency in automated library management, particularly for high-shelf book retrieval.
