    Abstract: A method for xDSL hybrid access includes: receiving pseudo cells and standard ATM cells from a subscriber terminal; wherein the pseudo cells carry VDSL data and the standard ATM cells carry ADSL data; reassembling the standard ATM cells into ADSL data frames and reassembling the pseudo cells into VDSL data frames; and transmitting the ADSL data frames and the VDSL data frames to a network side device. A DSLAM for xDSL hybrid access is also provided. The solution proposed may implement the hybrid access of DSL of the ADSL family and the VDSL family.

    Abstract: A method for transmitting packets in an RPR includes: pre-setting an MAC table having an item which is a corresponding relationship between the node MAC address and the UE MAC address of each node; an RPR node receiving an insert packet, performing the MAC table lookup, deciding whether an item matching a destination MAC address of the insert packet exists; if there exists the item, converting the insert packet to an extended frame-formatted packet where the RPR destination node MAC address equals to the node MAC address of the item and sending the converted packet to the destination node, and performing the corresponding process; if there does not exist the item, converting the insert packet to an extended frame-formatted packet where the RPR destination node MAC address equals to a broadcast MAC address, broadcasting the converted packet on the whole network, and performing the corresponding process.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a DSL subscriber board with an increasable bandwidth and a method for increasing bandwidth of a DSL subscriber board; the bandwidth of interfaces between chips of the DSL subscriber board can be increased to a predefined bandwidth according to a required amount. The method specifically includes: increasing the number of the interface; increasing the bandwidth rate of the interface; or increasing the clock frequency of the interface. Both the DSL subscriber board and the method for increasing the bandwidth of the DSL subscriber board can increase the processing bandwidth of the DSL subscriber board efficiently, and thereby increasing the number of subscribers of the DSL subscriber board and reducing cost efficiently. At the same time, it can also improve the bandwidth of the DSL subscribers to accommodate to the development of future DSL high bandwidth technologies.

    Abstract: An access device for controlling a bandwidth includes a token bucket module and a processing module. The token bucket module is set for each service priority of each logical connection. The processing module is used for receiving a message from a logical connection, taking a token from corresponding token bucket module according to logical connection and priority of the message, comparing byte number of the message with byte number corresponding to the token, forwarding the message if the byte number corresponding to the token is larger than that of the message, and discarding the message otherwise. A method for controlling the bandwidth is also disclosed.
