  • Publication number: 20240235592
Abstract: A method for testing a radio front-end begins by biasing a balun at a center tap of a secondary winding, where the secondary winding is coupled to a transmit power amplifier output and the biasing causes the transmit power amplifier to produce a partially activated power amplifier output. The method continues, by measuring one or more signal parameters of the radio front-end in response to the partially activated power amplifier output, and producing, based on the one or more signal parameters, one or more test results for the radio front-end. The method then continues by correlating the one or more test results to one or more predetermined test values.

  • Patent number: 12027771
Abstract: A phased array module includes a plurality of antenna boards. Each antenna board has an identical layout and has a plurality of antenna elements so positioned that together they form a matrix pattern on the antenna board and an integrated circuit containing a plurality of transceiver devices. Each transceiver is connected with an antenna element on the antenna board, such that corner antenna elements of three adjacent antenna boards of the plurality form an equilateral triangle. The matrix pattern formed by the plurality of antenna elements is square-shaped or rectangular-shaped.

  • Publication number: 20240162993
Abstract: A radio transceiver includes a plurality of spatially separated radiating elements and a plurality of radio frequency front-ends, where each radiating element is associated with a radio frequency front-end of a plurality radio frequency front-ends. The radio transceiver includes a plurality of received signal sensors, where each received signal sensor is coupled to one or more radiating elements and where each received signal sensor is adapted to output a signal representative of a received signal strength for the one or more radiating elements. The radio transceiver further includes one or more processors coupled to the received signal sensors and adapted to receive the signal representative of a received signal strength from each received signal sensor and is further adapted to provide a control signal for changing a power mode for a set of radio frequency front-ends of the plurality radio frequency front-ends based on the received signal strength signal.

  • Patent number: 11942974
Abstract: A method for calibrating a radio transceiver begins by injecting a low-frequency tone at a transmit power amplifier input of the radio transceiver, where the low frequency tone is at least an order of magnitude lower than the operating frequency of a local oscillator coupled to the transmitter input. The method continues by upconverting the low-frequency tone to produce a plurality of tones at a transmit power amplifier output and then determining which tone of the plurality of tones is a local oscillator feedthrough tone associated with a transmit power amplifier output and which tone of the plurality of tones is representative of an in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) imbalance associated with the transmit power amplifier output.

  • Publication number: 20230115807
Abstract: A radar device includes a transmission unit that transmits an FMCW signal, a reception unit that receives the FMCW signal which is transmitted by the transmission unit and reflected by an object, a measurement unit that measures a spurious of the FMCW signal, and a signal control unit that controls the FMCW signal transmitted by the transmission unit on the basis of a measurement result of the measurement unit.
