    Abstract: A computer enclosure includes a chassis (10), a side panel (20), and a fastening apparatus. The chassis has an opening (11), and comprises a rear panel (12) in which a hole (123) is defined. The side panel is configured for covering the opening of the chassis. The fastening apparatus secures the side panel to the chassis. The fastening apparatus includes a resilient piece (30). One end of the resilient piece is mounted to inside of the side panel. Another end of the resilient piece defines at least a hook (341) engaging in the hole of the rear panel for clasping the rear panel. The fastening apparatus further includes a latch (40) for urging the hook of the resilient piece to disengage from the hole of the rear panel.

The carrying bracket (30,50) includes a base wall (31,51) mounted on the bottom wall (11) of the chassis (10) and a side wall (33,53) perpendicular to the base wall (31,51). The side wall (33,53) of the carrying bracket (30,50) is coupled to the opening (133) of the chassis (10). When users need to replace their motherboard with another type it is easy do so merely by replacing the carrying bracket with the appropriate one for the new motherboard, rather than replacing the whole computer enclosure.

    Abstract: A mounting apparatus is provided for a data storage device defining a mounting hole. The mounting apparatus includes a bracket for accommodating the data storage device and a locking latch. The bracket includes a side plate forming a cantilever thereon. A receiving portion is formed at a free end of the cantilever. The locking latch is pivotally attached to the side plate. The locking latch has an initial position parallel to the side plate. A projecting portion extends from the locking member, and is received by the receiving portion of the cantilever. A securing member is formed on the locking latch. When the locking latch is pivoted away from the side plate, the cantilever is distorted to store a potential elastic energy for urging the locking latch to move back to the initial position, thereby the securing member engaging into the mounting hole of the data storage device.

The fastener defines an opening (35) and a slot (37) which are defined in different planes. The hood includes a tab (25) corresponding to the opening, and a hook (27) corresponding to the slot. The tab and the hook extend in directions corresponding to the opening and the slot respectively for inserting therein respectively. The tab is inserted into the opening for aligning the hook with the slot, whereupon the hook is inserted into the slot for securing the hood to the chassis.
