Patent number: 11686535Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a shell housing a plurality of tubes and defining an exhaust fluid flow path within a first volume enclosed by the shell. The outer surfaces of the plurality of tubes are in fluid communication with the exhaust fluid flow path. The heat exchanger includes a cap attached to a first end of the shell and defining a second volume. A header is configured to separate the first volume from the second volume, flex with thermal expansion, and define tube inlet and outlet positions. The tube inlets and outlets are in fluid communication with a source fluid flow path, and each tube is substantially U-shaped and defines a flow path of the source fluid within the exhaust fluid flow path. The heat exchanger includes at least one longitudinal flow baffle within the shell configured to reduce an amount of exhaust fluid that may bypass the tubes.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2021Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Joseph Borghese, Quang Do, David Berukhim, Rafael Maldonado

Patent number: 8738359Abstract: The present invention provides a method for extracting relationships between words in textual data. Initially, a classifier is trained to identify text data having a specific format, such as situation-response or cause-effect, using a training corpus. The classifier receives input identifying components of the text data having the specified format and then extracts features from the text data having the specified format, such as the part of speech for words in the text data, the semantic role of words within the text data and sentence structure. These extracted features are then applied to text data to identify components of the text data which have the specified format. Rules are then extracted from the text data having the specified format.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2007Date of Patent: May 27, 2014Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Rakesh Gupta, Quang Do

Patent number: 6845277Abstract: Process and apparatus for communication between an Information Handling System (HIS) and a display having On “Screen Display” (OSD) capability. The HIS system includes a processor under control of an operating system, a graphics system and an electronic circuit which operates independently on the processor and the graphics system. The display receives a graphics channel with the graphics signals. An additional service channel is used for the interaction between the host and the display, and also for allowing the independent electronic circuit to have a direct access to the On Screen Display capability of the display. The service channel may be advantageously a DDC/CI communication link, and the electronic circuit may be a hardware monitoring circuit which is operational even before the booting process of the processor. No additional Liquid Crystal Display is thus required.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2000Date of Patent: January 18, 2005Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Jacques Michelet, Claus Hirzmann, François Loison, Vincent Nguyen-Quang Do

Publication number: 20040073822Abstract: The present invention relates to a data processing system and method having a reduced power consumption. A power context is established for each application task, process or thread running within a computer system. The power context controls the operating conditions of the processor by, for example, reducing the frequency of the processor clock or the operating voltage of the processor. A scheduler is used to switch between threads a, in horn, between power contexts associated with the threads. The switching is performed according to the conventional priority switching of threads by an operating system. However, since each tread has an associated power context, the performance of the processor, and hence the power consumption is varied on a time slot-by-time slot basis.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 3, 2003Publication date: April 15, 2004Applicant: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: David Greco, Olivier Meynard, Vincent Nguyen-Quang Do

Patent number: 6666681Abstract: Agricultural forced air heaters marketed for use in farm buildings which house poultry, swine, and livestock are quite susceptible to the accumulation of dust and other particles. These heaters are gas fired units having combustion, air mixing, blower and blower motor components assembled in a parallelepiped housing. To admit incoming air for their blowers and burners the heaters have multiple openings in the form of grid-like air intake ports on various heater sides. In the environments in which they are used the extensive use of air intake holes is a disadvantage. In the heater herein panels form four distinct chambers, a blower chamber, an air mixing chamber, a motor chamber, and a combustion chamber. Air inlets open into the motor chamber as the only air inlets in the heater housing. These air inlets provide all of the air for the heater.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2003Date of Patent: December 23, 2003Inventor: Trung Quang Do
