Abstract: A blank which can be folded to form a pack for food items and the like. The blank being formed of a laminate of a card layer on a film layer. The blank has a front face (9) and rear face (13) connected to opposite sides of a base (10) via fold lines (12, 14). The base has a central third transverse fold line (11) about which the base can be folded in an opposite sense. Side panels (15, 17) extend transversely from both sides of the blank. A film layer extends beyond the card layer so as to form unsupported film regions with a first region extending transversely from the base (10) and a second region continuous with the first region to at least partially overlie a corresponding side panel (15, 17) when the blank is folded. The second regions of unsupported film bond with the film on the corresponding side panel to seal the side panels in the erected pack.

Abstract: A wedge shaped container formed from a folded web of flexible material. The container comprises a base (1), a rear wall (2) connected to the base, and a pair of upstanding side walls decreasing in height from the rear wall to the opposite end of the base. Each side wall is formed of two side wall panels (4, 6) connected at an edge of the base and connected by a hinge joint. From a fold-flat configuration, folding of the rear wall (2) away from the base (1) causes the side wall panels (4, 6) to be folded inwardly into the erected configuration. The container may have an integral lid (8). The invention also extends to a method of making a blank using a sequence of cuts to create unsupported file regions.

Abstract: A method, a system and a computer programmable product have been provided for arbitrating bus cycles among a plurality of device nodes. Requests for bus grant are received from the device nodes. Each request includes values of one or more arbitration parameters. The requests grouped at a first stage, with two requests in each group. A comparison is performed in each group, based on the values of the one or more parameters. Further, winners from each comparison are forwarded to a next stage. Subsequently, comparisons are performed over one or more stages to select a winner of the bus grant.

Abstract: A method is described that associates a first plurality of logical ports with a first bandwidth group and that associates a second plurality of ports with a second bandwidth group. The first bandwidth group is defined by a first bandwidth range whose lowest data rate is greater than a highest data rate of a second bandwidth range that defines the second bandwidth group. The method also involves servicing the first and second bandwidth groups so that: 1) each of the logical ports that are associated with the first bandwidth group are polled at a rate of X servicing trips of the first and second bandwidth groups; and, 2) each of the logical ports that are associated with the second bandwidth group are polled at a rate of Y servicing trips of the first and second bandwidth groups and where X is less than Y.
