  • Publication number: 20240197515
Abstract: A involuntary movement dampening device is described that can reduce extremity pain and/or dampen involuntary movement of an extremity. For example, the device can include a first coupling extension including a first extension and a first coupling feature that can secure to a first part of an extremity of a user. The device can include a second coupling extension including a second extension and a second coupling feature that can secure to a second part of the extremity of the user. The device can include an adjustable hinge that provides a pivotable coupling between the first extension and the second extension. The adjustable hinge can provide more than one dampening settings each providing a different level of pivoting resistance between the first extension and the second extension to thereby at least dampen involuntary pivoting between the first part and the second part of the extremity.

  • Publication number: 20160369229
Abstract: A double-porosity three-dimensional material includes a support consisting of a polymer having a surface which includes positive charges and is functionalized by bioactive molecules which include negative charges and are used to increase the proliferation of eukaryotic cells. A method of producing the double-porosity three-dimensional material, and use of the material for fixing and stimulating the proliferation of eukaryotic cells are also described.

  • Patent number: 9331353
Abstract: The present invention relates to a membrane that includes a porous polymer material made of a polyimide with interconnected macropores and impregnated with protic ionic liquid conductors (CLIP), as well as to the method for manufacturing same and to the uses thereof. The membranes of the invention fulfill the need for membranes including CLIPs, which have good proton-conducting properties as well as good physical properties, in particular high thermal and mechanical stability, in addition to a wide range of electrochemical stability.
