  • Patent number: 8902761
Abstract: A method and apparatus providing a network topology management of a wireless communication network are disclosed. The method discovers network topology data of the wireless communication network, wherein the wireless communication network comprises a self-healing capability, and identifies a difference between the network topology data that is discovered against a stored network topology data of the wireless communication network. The method updates the stored network topology data with the difference that is identified.

Date of Patent: December 2, 2014
    Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.
Inventors: Chen-Yui Yang, Wen-Jui Li, Minghsien Wang, Quangchung Yeh
  • Patent number: 8768339
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling a wireless communication service provider to remotely provide wireless network service outage and/or degradation detection, isolation, and restoration relating to a base station are disclosed. For example, the method detects a wireless service problem, and isolates the wireless service problem to a base station of a plurality of base stations of the wireless communication network, wherein the wireless service problem comprises a wireless service degradation. The method then performs a recovery task remotely on the base station to address the wireless service degradation.

  • Publication number: 20110141914
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing Ethernet service circuit management are disclosed. A system includes a network and a root cause analysis system (RCAS). Device, link, and network topologies are developed for all devices in the network and are stored at a desired data storage location. When an alarm is received by the RCAS, the RCAS retrieves the device, link, and network topologies, and performs a root cause analysis based upon the topologies and one or more rules. Depending upon the outcome of the root cause analysis, some alarms may be consolidated, suppressed, and/or reported to the appropriate network personnel.
