Abstract: A motion-sensing device is used to track motion of an object. The motion-sensing device includes an optical correlator, a motor system and a controller. The optical correlator has an imager. The optical correlator provides a feedback signal that indicates motion of the object in at least one dimension based on detected movement of an image of the object from a first location within the imager to a second location within the imager. The motor system can move the imager. The controller receives the feedback signal from the optical correlator and uses the feedback signal to calculate motion of the object and to control the motor system to move the imager so that the image of the object is returned to the first location within the imager.

Abstract: An arbiter allocates resources to a set of requesters. The arbiter includes vector assembly logic and sort logic. The vector assembly logic generates, for each arbitration round, an arbitration vector for each requester in the set of requesters. The sort logic receives the arbitration vectors generated by the vector assembly logic. Based on values of the arbitration vectors, the sort logic designates, for each arbitration round, a requester from the set of requesters as winner.

Abstract: A simulation controller includes a global process manager that creates a model manager and a vector manager. The model manager generates models when requested by the global process manager. The vector manager generates vectors when requested by the global process manager. The global process manager manages the models and vectors to be received by a target simulator. This approach allows the verification plan associated with circuit block described in a hardware description language to be reused in a new circuit design.
