  • Patent number: 11992977
Abstract: A method for cleaning a vulcanization mold for tires in a curing press uses device having a collaborative mobile robot and incorporating a computer program. The robot includes an autonomous mobile platform mounted on drive wheels and having batteries supplying electricity, a dry ice dispenser, sensors for identifying the location of the mold to be cleaned, and motors ensuring its displacement between a storage location of the device and the mold to be cleaned and the displacement of an articulated mobile arm of the robot. The robot bears a nozzle for spraying dry ice from the dispenser. The device comprises means for communication with a control unit. The control unit sends a mission instruction to the device, which navigates between a storage location and the location of the mold and automatically cleans the vulcanization mold.

  • Publication number: 20240075626
Abstract: A tire picking system (100) performs a process for picking one or more tires stored in an unknown arrangement and for which a target location must be realized. A gripper (108) and a robot (102) including a gripping device (104) supported by a pivotable elongated arm (106), the gripping device extending from the elongated arm to a free end (104a) where the gripper is disposed, form part of the system (100). An image processing module applies data representative of the physical environment around the robot (102) to a deployed neural network in order to determine one or more parameters of a target tire (P*); the robot is set in motion based on the determined parameters of the target tire, so that the gripper can pick a target tire (P*) selected by the system (100) from among the stored tires.

  • Publication number: 20240051770
Abstract: A process for directing the movement of a robot (102) with a gripper (108) that picks a target tire (P*) from an arrangement of tires includes the following steps: providing a system (100) for picking one or more tires stored in the arrangement of tires, the robot forming part of this system; determining one or more parameters of the target tire in the arrangement of tires; determining the diameter of the target tire; determining the tire radius (RP) and the rim radius (RJ) of the target tire; an approaching step whereby the robot approaches the target tire identified for picking; a picking step whereby the target tire is picked by the gripper; and extracting the target tire from the arrangement of tires in order to place it in a target location.

  • Publication number: 20230405955
Abstract: The method is related to automatically and successively laying elastomeric elements using a facility for manufacturing tire blanks. The facility includes a drum for manufacturing tire blanks and at least one collaborative robotized arm equipped with at least one effector. A stage of laying an elastomeric element includes a predetermined sequence of step. The sequence comprises the steps of grasping and drawing the elastomeric element towards the drum using said arm. The automatic and successive laying of elastomeric elements includes instructions which can be executed by the processor of a control unit in order to implement. The sequence includes a stage of automatic performance of a step according to said sequence. The sequence also includes a stage of interruption of said sequence. The sequence further includes a stage of manual performance of the interrupted step or the next step according to said sequence.

  • Publication number: 20210078211
Abstract: Method for cleaning a vulcanization mould for tyres in a curing press, using a device (1) comprising a collaborative mobile robot (10), incorporating a computer program, said robot comprising an autonomous mobile platform (2) mounted on drive wheels and comprising batteries supplying electricity, a dry ice dispenser (6), sensors for identifying the location of the mould to be cleaned and motors ensuring its displacement between a storage location of the device and the mould to be cleaned and the displacement of an articulated mobile arm (3) of said robot, said robot bearing a nozzle (4) for spraying dry ice from said dispenser, wherein the device comprises means for communication with a control unit. According to the invention, the control unit sends a mission instruction to said device, which navigates between a storage location and the location of the mould and automatically cleans the vulcanization mould.
