The hair must be completely dry and free from water before use of the Hot Pic. Afro-textured hair is term used to refer to the typical texture of Black African hair. It is often referred to as thick, bushy, coarse or wooly. Each strand of this hair type grows in a tiny spring-like, corkscrew shape. Its unique shape also renders it very prone to breakage when combed or brushed. The Hot Pic, FIGS. 1 and 3 is intended for natural afro-textured hair not to straighten the hair, but to give ample heat while combing through that will allow detangling and changing the texture for styling. This can prepare the hair for additional hair styling such as a bouncy afro, twists or cornrow. The Hot Pic, FIGS.
