    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for making highly pure maltose products from starch-containing raw materials (such as corn starch, potato starch, cassava starch, sweet potato starch, wheat starch, and rice starch etc.). The method includes a combined use of amylases and other malt hydrolyzing enzymes, a spray liquefaction method, an ion-exchange resin chromatography, a filtration, and a crystallization. The highly pure maltose products include maltose syrup, maltose alcohol, and solid maltose.
