  • Publication number: 20240362527
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the field of Machine Learning, more particularly, methods and apparatuses to tune learning rates to accelerate training and avoid non-convergence. The new method utilizes estimates of the first-order derivatives and the unmixed second-order derivatives of the cost function relative to model parameters and a rate adjustment function to update the model parameters iteratively during model training.

  • Patent number: 11747910
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a new computer input and tracking device, and method of using, more particularly, a new type of digital pen which tracks user hand movements to generate series of point coordinates that represent a drawing or hand writing. Unlike prior digital pens such as the Apple Pencil™ or the Microsoft Surface Pen™, the new system does not require users to write on a touch-sensitive surface. Users can write on any surface such as a notebook, a table, a board, or even in mid air. Users can draw two-dimensional or three-dimensional drawings. The new method utilizes a pen marked with one or more groups of distinct tracking marks or tracking patterns and a camera to track the pen in real-time. A computer running a 3D algorithm processes the camera images, detects and distinguishes the tracking marks, and uses the tracking marks to calculate the positions of the tip of the pen in three-dimensional space.

  • Patent number: 11745343
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the field of robotics and computer animation, more particularly, method and apparatus to solve the inverse kinematics problem to control a kinematic chain such as a robot arm or an animation character's skeleton to reach a target position. The new method simulates a kinematic chain whose links and joints are elastic and can be distorted. The method distorts the kinematic chain to move its end to the target position, calculates distortions, and iteratively adjusts link and joint configurations of the kinematic chain to reduce distortions while keeping its end at the target position until a solution with near zero distortions is found. The resulting link and joint configurations of the simulated kinematic chain then can be used for the actual kinematic chain to reach the same target position.

  • Publication number: 20230055584
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the field of digital currency, more particularly, cryptocurrency and secure payment systems using Public-key cryptography. The new cryptocurrency system utilizes digitally locked coins that can be owned and exchanged anonymously without the need for any owner account. Coin owners exchange coins by sending the digital keys of the coins, and recipients use the received digital keys to change the digital locks of the received coins. The digitally locked coins are tracked in a public book that is maintained centrally or distributively by one or more bookkeepers. The new cryptocurrency system is efficient and provides fast, anonymous, and secure transactions.

  • Patent number: 6640303
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are provided for encrypting and decrypting information, such as electronic mail. Each party has a secret, unique, randomly assigned value y. A sender and receiver first engage in a preliminary message exchange, or “handshake. ” At this point, the sending party is given the y value of the receiving party. A key is then generated randomly or pseudo-randomly by the sending party. The key is used to encrypt a byte of information to be sent to the receiving party. A new key is generated for every byte to be encrypted. The resulting ciphertext is a combination of the output of a function F and a function P. F is a function of plaintext and the key. P is a function of the plaintext and the y value of the receiving party. During operation, y values and keys are not readily apparent to users.

  • Patent number: 5668032
Abstract: An improved method of manufacturing active matrix displays with ESD protection through final assembly and in process testing and repair capabilities. At least a first set of shorting bars is formed adjacent the row and column matrix. The shorting bars are respectively coupled to one another in series to allow testing of the matrix elements. A first shorting bar is coupled to the odd row lines, a second shorting bar is coupled to the even row lines, a third shorting bar is coupled to the odd column lines and a fourth shorting bar is coupled to the even column lines. The shorting bars can remain coupled to the matrix through final assembly to provide ESD protection and final assembly and testing capability.
