  • Patent number: 7168018
Abstract: An apparatus and a method are disclosed for reducing the pin driver count required for testing computer memory devices, specifically Rambus DRAM, while a die is on a semiconductor wafer. By reducing the pin count, more DRAMs can be tested at the same time, thereby reducing test cost and time. One preferred embodiment utilizes a trailing edge of a precharge clock to select a new active bank address, so that the address line required to select a new active address does not have to be accessed at the same time as the row lines.

  • Patent number: 7162499
Abstract: A network computer maintains a directory of objects having multi-valued attributes. The attributes are comprised of individual linked values having conflict-resolution data that indicates a change to an object at an attribute-value level. A second network computer stores a replica of the directory in which a replica of the objects is maintained. The computers replicate the objects in the directories and update the individual linked values of the attributes. Replication conflicts are identified and resolved with the conflict-resolution data at the attribute-value level of the objects.

  • Patent number: 7152722
Abstract: A method and apparatus for selectively coupling members in a brake actuating mechanism. A coupling member is located between an outer clutch sleeve and a clutch cap. The coupling member exerts a pre-determined amount of force on both the outer clutch sleeve and the clutch cap. The force couples the outer clutch sleeve and the clutch cap. The coupling member allows the outer clutch sleeve and the clutch cap to decouple if a torque acting on the clutch cap exceeds the force exerted by the coupling member.

Abstract: Provided are new flame retardants and liquid flame retardant additive compositions of low viscosity for use in flexible polyurethane foams. The new flame retardants are the reaction product of at least one brominated aromatic diester diol with at least one alcohol-reactive agent. Preferred liquid flame retardant additive compositions are capable of minimizing visible scorching of the foam during its production. Flexible flame retardant polyurethane foams and methods for their production are also provided. The flame retardant additive compositions are formed at least from a) at least one reaction product of a brominated aromatic diester diol and an alcohol-reactive agent; b) at least one hindered amine antioxidant; and c) at least one phenolic antioxidant in which the phenolic ring is substituted by an alkanoic acid alkyl ester group in which alkanoic acid moiety has in the range of 2 to about 4 carbon atoms and the alkyl group has in the range of about 6 to about 16 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 7112898
Abstract: An economical digital voltage sag compensator for overcoming sags in distributed electrical power. The voltage sag compensator employs an inexpensive micro-controller, a full wave bridge rectifier, a DC power supply, a voltage divider and an output switch. The micro-controller continuously monitors and evaluates, with respect to a setpoint measured in volt-seconds, the rectified DC voltage. At regularly spaced trigger events, as determined by the micro-controller, the micro-controller concurrently monitors the rectified DC voltage, evaluates the monitored voltage with respect to the setpoint, produces an output signal and sends that output signal to the output switch. The output switch supplies an electrical device, connected electrically in series with the full wave bridge rectifier and the output switch, with a constant average current of sufficient level to maintain the electrical device in a desired operating condition.

  • Patent number: 7103874
Abstract: Model-based application management architecture. A developer can describe an application or service in terms of its constituent components. Desired states can be described in terms of functionality, configuration, security, and performance. The description is employed at application installation to configure management services, which services help to ensure availability of the application through automatic management actions, such as configuration management, problem detection, diagnosis, and recovery.

  • Patent number: 7102343
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and devices that include a power source having a first voltage having a first frequency, a power-consuming load(s), and a first transformer set comprising a delta-delta transformer and a first voltage controller coupled in series thereto, an input coupled to the power source, producing as output a second voltage having a second frequency and coupled to the power-consuming load(s). Also, a second transformer set has a wye-delta transformer, and a second voltage controller coupled in series thereto, an input is coupled to the power source, producing a phase-shifted third voltage output at a third frequency that is coupled to the power-consuming load(s). The first and second transformer sets are coupled in a parallel configuration such that the second and third voltage signals combine to produce a fourth voltage signal having a fourth frequency.

  • Patent number: 7103784
Abstract: An improved system and method for network management is presented which facilitates better administration with a more intuitive reflection of the organizational structure with integrated security concerns by introducing novel strategies for grouping users of a network. In particular, a new group, the Universal Group, is introduced to facilitate nested groups with members in more than one Domain. Members of a universal group may be allowed access to resources across Domain boundaries, where Domains reflect a security boundary in the Network. In addition, the nesting of groups, e.g., within Universal Groups, is enabled, subject to some restrictions, in order to reduce the overhead associated with discovering the groups to which a user belongs.

  • Patent number: 7086572
Abstract: A valve is provided with a peripheral attachment portion by which the valve may be attached to a dispensing structure through which can be discharged a product from a supply of the product. The valve includes a flexible, peripheral sleeve extending from the peripheral attachment portion. The sleeve has a central elongate portion and two shorter end portions at opposite ends of the elongate portion so that the central elongate portion and the two shorter end portions together define an interior volume. The valve also has a flexible, elongate head extending from the peripheral sleeve. The head includes at least one elongate slit defining two, opposed, elongate, openable regions in the head which are normally closed and which open to permit the discharge of the product therethrough in response to a pressure differential across the head.
