    Abstract: A method and a kit is described for cooling beverages. Each employs a naturally occurring, non-porous igneous rock material, such as granite, that may be configured in the form of a polyhedron, such as a cube. The method involves placing one or more masses of the material in a reduced temperature environment for a selected time that may be sufficient to allow the mass to reach equilibrium temperature with the reduced temperature environment. One or more masses are then placed in a vessel along with the beverage to be cooled. The kit houses the masses in a lidded container and one or more vessels are included. A correlation between the size of the masses and the vessels is disclosed.

    Abstract: The wiper assembly with impact action includes a wiper arm base, a wiper arm, and an impact motor. The wiper arm base is pivoted by a wiper motor assembly. A roller cam is attached to a shaft of the impact motor. The impact motor is mounted to the wiper arm base. The wiper arm is pivotally attached to the wiper arm base on one end and a wiper blade is attached to the other end of the wiper arm. A contact portion extends from the one end of the wiper arm. The contact portion is structured to be driven by the roller cam on the impact motor. Rotation of the roller cam will cause the wiper blade to momentarily lift off the surface of the windshield. When the wiper blade drops, the resulting impact will cause sleet, ice, or snow on the wiper blade to be knocked-off.

    Abstract: A plow assembly is disclosed for vehicles such as pickup trucks and tractors for moving snow or other materials. The plow assembly has at least one extendable, forwardly pivotable plow wing which is extendable on one end of a main plow by sliding movement along the front of the plow between a retracted and an extended position in which the plow wing is generally aligned with the plow front surface. The plow wing is also pivotally mounted on a hinge for movement between the extended position and a forwardly angled position in which the plow wing front surface extends at an angle to the plow front surface. A power source connected to the plow wing is operable to move the wing between the retracted, extended and forwardly angled positions. Preferably, a latch assembly prevents pivotal movement of the plow wing to the forwardly angled position until the plow wing is in the extended position.

    Abstract: A system for controlling microwave heaters in order to efficiently heat frozen ground. The heaters are energized and deenergized by a control unit in response to the temperature sensed a selected distance from a heater. The control unit also deenergizes the heater in response to a temperature sensed in the vicinity of the applicators of the heater in order to protect the heaters from overheating.
