  • Publication number: 20210049344
Abstract: Techniques for improving a blast pattern at a mining site include conducting an initial blast and recording the initial blast as a high speed optical video. The high speed optical video, and the blast pattern used in the initial blast are sent as inputs to a machine learning model, which correlates one or more characteristics of the region being blasted with measurements associated with characteristics of the region being blasted obtained from the high speed optical video. The machine learning model can then determine an improved blast pattern based on the correlation made. This improved blast pattern can be displayed on a user computing device, or transmitted to a drilling system to automatically drill the improved blast pattern for subsequent blasts.

  • Patent number: 10907700
Abstract: According to the present invention, there is disclosed a torque impact mitigator including a hydraulic cylinder having a compression end and a rebound end. A piston rod mounted to the piston and extends out from the hydraulic cylinder through the first end cap. A compression spring is compressed when the piston rod is moved out of the hydraulic cylinder and in a relaxed state when the piston rod is moved towards a second end cap. Bores through the piston allow the passage of hydraulic fluid from the rebound end to the compression end of the cylinder. A relief valve is secured to the piston within the rebound end to momentarily reduce the pressure of the hydraulic fluid caused by an instantaneous hydraulic pressure increase due to the initial movement of the piston from the rebound end to the compression end.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to computer-implemented methods of operating a monitoring host of a performance management infrastructure. The method includes receiving, using natural language processing (NLP) algorithms, training data that includes operational data and functionality data. The operational data represents natural language descriptions of performance problems identified for an application computer program running a computing system. The functionality data represents natural language descriptions of functional capabilities of the application computer program. The NLP algorithms and a classifier are used to extract features of the training data. The extracted features are used to build a semantic correlation model that includes correlated data sets, wherein each of the correlated data sets includes functionality data and operational data having a semantic correlation to functionality data.

  • Publication number: 20210001446
Abstract: According to one example, a CNC machine tool system may perform error compensation for improving the accuracy of the geometry (or form) of a machined workpiece to, for example, better than 2 micrometers. To do so, a first machined workpiece may be created using the CNC machine tool system. The CNC machine tool system may create the machined workpiece by jig grinding. Following the creation of the first machined workpiece, metrology of the workpiece error may then be performed on the machined workpiece. The metrology of the workpiece error may be used to create a corrected toolpath trajectory for re-machining. This corrected toolpath trajectory may then be utilized by the CNC machine tool system to machine a second machined workpiece having a geometry (or form) with an accuracy of, for example, better than 2 micrometers.

Each participating endpoint is configured for communication via one or more communication networks and stores the same or different data items on behalf of a user. The WAN-based service maintains information about each participating endpoint in the group and its network accessibility, and also maintains one or more catalogs of available data items. The WAN-based service identifies a communication network available to both participating endpoints, and a direct or proxied communication session is established between the portable electronic device and the other participating endpoint via the communication network. Selected data items are downloaded, uploaded, accessed or synchronized via the communication session.

  • Publication number: 20200338354
Abstract: Implantable medical leads and/or lead extensions include a band that encapsulates a portion of conductors of the lead and/or lead extension. The band may be reflowed in order to provide the encapsulation of the conductors. The band may further be used to create a seal together with the surrounding lead body and an additional object such as a stiffener rod, stylet tube, and/or molding stylet, to allow a proximal area of a lumen of the lead body to be injection molded while prevent the injection molding material from proceeding past the band. When a stiffener rod is present in a proximal area of the lead and/or lead extension, additional stiffness is provided to the lead body to resist buckling of the lead body during insertion of the proximal end. The band may be bonded to the stiffener rod to fix the position of the stiffener rod relative to the conductors.
