An on-premises server farm, a data center and a plurality of mobile terminal devices are provided for that purpose. The on-premises system is connected to the data center via a local network connection. The mobile network devices are connected to the data center via a mobile communications connection. The data center is a virtualization of the local on-premises server farm. The mobile communications connection to the data exchange is activated as soon as the mobile device leaves the transmit and/or receive range of the respective hospital (off-premises).

    Abstract: A method and data processing system for data collection for a clinical study is provided. A study management unit compares a test data record containing demographic and clinical data on at least one patient for a match with specified qualification criteria for the clinical study. If there is a match, a clinical treatment planned for the patient is compared with a study compliant treatment model. If there is a sufficient match, in interaction with the study management unit, a doctor treating the patient adapts the planned clinical treatment to fit the treatment model. Treatment data resulting from the adapted treatment is transmitted to the study management unit.

    Abstract: A method and system for the diagnosis of 3D images are disclosed, which significantly cuts the time required for the diagnosis. The 3D images are for example an image volume dataset of a magnetic resonance tomography system which is saved in an RIS or PACS system. In at least one embodiment, the diagnostic finding are partially automatically generated, and details of the position, size and change in pathological structures are compared to previous diagnostic findings are generated automatically. As a result of this automation the diagnostic work of radiologists is significantly reduced.

    Abstract: A method and a system are disclosed for the remote control of a viewer via a remote application. Communication between the control application and the viewer, installed on a remote computer, takes place via an agent. The agent exchanges data with the viewer via two communication channels, an RDP connection and an RVIC channel. In an embodiment, each image in a sequence of images to be displayed is identified by an identifier and assigned to a transmission indicator. The transmission indicator indicates how the image is to be transmitted (lossless or lossy). The agent then generates a modified dedicated sequence of images, which is transmitted to the viewer. The viewer is then able to check the reliability of the received modified sequence of images.

    Abstract: In an embodiment, the computing unit determines a spherical volume region corresponding to a sphere and lying in front of a display device and the midpoint of the volume region. Furthermore, the computing unit inserts manipulation possibilities related to the output image into image regions of the output image. An image capture device captures a sequence of depth images and communicates it to the computing unit. The computing unit ascertains therefrom whether and, if appropriate, at which of a plurality of image regions the user points with an arm or a hand, whether the user performs a predefined gesture that differs from pointing at the output image or an image region, or whether the user performs a grasping movement with regard to the volume region. Depending on the result of the evaluation, the computing unit may activate a manipulation possibility, perform an action, or rotates the three-dimensional structure.
