    Abstract: A drying apparatus that allows the wet washed dishes located in the washing container to be dried quickly from an economic and hygienic point of view is provided. The drying apparatus for drying washed dishes is disposed inside a dishwasher and circulates exclusively the air located in a washing container of the dishwasher. The drying apparatus is provided with a suction port for introducing the air from the washing container into the drying apparatus, a blow-out port for discharging the air from the drying apparatus into the washing container, a conveying section between the suction port and the blow-out port, and a fan for conveying the air from the suction port to the blow-out port via the conveying section with the conveying section having a condensing section with at least one wall operable as a condensing surface upon which the humidity contained in the air condenses.

The device includes a container operable to retain therein a predetermined quantity of a liquid mixed with at least one of a foam-forming substance and cleaning agents, the container including an arrangement for producing a flow of a gaseous fluid through the predetermined quantity of the liquid so as to generate a foam layer. The foam layer filters out from a dishwashing liquid passed through the foam layer a substantial fraction of particles entrained with the dishwashing liquid and such filtered-out particles are retained in the foam layer.

    Abstract: A method is provided enabling a dishwasher to be operated with variable wash programs, wherein the filter systems of the dishwasher do not become overloaded with protruding wash residues in the rinsing fluid. The method makes it possible to vary the pressure used to convey the rinsing fluid from the circulating pump to the at least one spray device. The advantage thereof is that protruding wash residues in the rinsing liquid can be reduced or flattened in order to prevent the filter systems in the dishwasher from becoming overloaded so that the cleaning effects of the filter system can remain functional.

    Abstract: A dish washing machine configured to consume the smallest possible amount of water has a device for storing the washing liquid, in which at least one storage reservoir is provided that is made of a flexible material for holding at least a portion of the washing liquid located inside the dish washing machine. The dish washing machine offers the possibility of removing, at any time during the washing program, at least a portion of the washing bath from the washing circuit, of storing it in the storage reservoir and, when needed, of supplying it once again to the washing circuit. Thus, for example, after completing the last clear rinsing cycle, the washing bath is at least partially retained in the storage reservoir until use of the bath in a subsequent washing cycle, whereby by and large reducing the consumption of water of the dish washing machine.

Dishwashing residue contained in the dishwashing liquid is at least partially absorbed or retained by the foam volume such that the fine-grained dirt particles can be filtered out of the dishwashing fluid, a resoiling of the dishwashing fluid or the items to be cleaned can be minimized and the dishwashing result can be improved.

    Abstract: A dishwashing machine including a comminution device and a method for comminuting residue in the dishwasher. The comminution device at minimal manufacturing costs, makes it possible to easily comminute the coarse contaminants or residue accumulating during the rinse cycle in the dishwashing machine, flush it out of the dishwasher and at the same time reduce the danger of clogging the sieve(s) placed in the dishwasher. The comminution device preferably is actuated by the lye pump of the dishwashing machine. In this manner the comminution device is actuated easily and efficiently, which both enables cost-effective manufacture of the dishwashing machine, and improves its operating safety and ease of maintenance. In the process the rinse residue can first collect during the rinse cycle in uncomminuted form on the floor of the rinsing container and only then be comminuted when the washing liquid is pumped out and flushed out of the dishwashing machine.

The steam dispenser and the steam jet unit are disposed in the dishwasher in such a way that the steam jet unit always supplies steam to the same predetermined location in the washing receptacle specifically identified and configured for receiving particular items to be cleaned, e.g. particularly dirty items. An uncontrolled escape of steam from any section of the entire washing receptacle is prevented, thus improving the cleaning result with maximum usage of the steam and without also being dependent on activation of a separate steam washing cycle.

A transmitter transmits electromagnetic radiation to the body and a detector detects the presence of the deposits at the surface. The detector measures electromagnetic radiation received from the transmitter after reflection at the surface. Preferably, the device and method are used in a liquid-conveying machine, particularly, a washing machine and/or a dishwasher. Particularly, light is introduced into the light-guiding body to detect the presence of the deposits. The light is internally reflected by the surface and is guided to a sensor. If deposits occur on the surface, the deposits affect the light-reflecting properties of the surface, and the affect is detected by the sensor.
