  • Publication number: 20210206156
Abstract: A three-dimensional inkjet printer and method for printing an aperture mask on a multi-spectral filter array. A custom tray is used by the printer allowing for printing on a prefabricated filter array. Photopolymer resin is deposited on the prefabricated filter array to form the aperture mask of dark mirror coating. An ultraviolet lamp illuminates the deposited photopolymer resin on the surface of the prefabricated multi-spectral optical filter array to cure the resin, thereby forming the mask. The prefabricated multi-spectral optical filter array includes an optical coating on at least one side, the aperture mask being formed on the optical coating, without the use of heat, chemical etching, or deformation of the optical coating.

  • Patent number: 10782459
Abstract: Optical filter elements each include a parallelogram-shaped substrate with parallel light entrance and light exit surfaces and parallel slanted sidewalls slanted at an angle, and an interference filter disposed on one or both of the light entrance surface and the light exit surface. The optical filter elements are bonded together at the slanted sidewalls to form the optical filter array. Light is filtered by illuminating the optical filter array at an angle ? equal to or corresponding to the angle of the slanted sidewalls. In some embodiments the angle of the slanted sidewalls corresponds to the angle-of-incidence ? by Snell's law.

  • Patent number: 10540217
Abstract: A method and apparatus for message cache sizing are provided. A plurality of messages from one or more enqueuers are enqueued in a queue comprising at least one shard. Each shard includes one or more subshards. A message cache configured to store a plurality of cached subshards is maintained in memory. The plurality of messages is dequeued from the message cache by one or more dequeuers. An estimated enqueue rate is determined for each shard. An estimated dequeue rate is determined for each dequeuer-shard pair. Estimated restore overhead data is determined over a range of candidate message cache sizes based on the estimated enqueue rate for each shard and the estimated dequeue rate for each dequeuer-shard pair. A preferred message cache size is determined based on the estimated restore overhead data.

  • Patent number: 10316838
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing or eliminating gas lock in a downhole pump is provided. The apparatus has a ported bushing connecting to an upper standing valve at a first, uphole end and connecting to a lower standing valve at a second, downhole end. The apparatus also has one or more vents. In one embodiment, the apparatus is coupled downhole of a traveling valve of a downhole pump such that, on each upstroke, the one or more vents of the apparatus draw liquid from the annulus between the pump and the tubing into the passage between the upper and lower standing valves for opening the upper standing valve to accumulate liquid in the pump barrel below the traveling valve. The accumulation of liquid in the pump barrel below the traveling valve breaks gas lock and opens the traveling valve, ensuring the operation of pumping liquid from downhole to surface.
