  • Patent number: 8690841
Abstract: An improved wound care system is set forth. The system includes a wound care device having a first end and a second end. A fastener, adapted to extend to a desired length to selectively attach the device at an anchor, wherein the anchor is provided on a second end of the device is also provided. The fastener is sufficiently sized and formed of a suitable material to prevent the device from moving when secured to the anchor. In an embodiment, medicine is provided in a desired treatment area of the device. The medicine can be inserted via a medicinal delivery device by inserting the medicinal delivery device up to a stop on the medicinal delivery device into the wound care device.

A handgrip section connects the arm support section to an upper angled section of the vertical shaft. The handgrip section is angled below a vertical plane perpendicular to the shaft. The handgrip section is substantially centered over the vertical shaft. A method of forming an improved mobility device is also set forth. The method includes the following steps. First, a tubular aluminum bar is provided. Next, the bar is bent outwardly, away from a central plane of a shaft of the bar to form an upper angled shaft portion. The bar is then curved back toward the central plane of the bar at an angle below a plane perpendicular to the central plane to form a handgrip section, wherein the handgrip section is substantially centered over the shaft. The bar is then bent to form an arm support section.

  • Patent number: 7000616
Abstract: A suspension system for the care and prevention of wounds on the body of a user includes an array of removable suspension devices forming a flexible sheet. Each suspension device is removably coupled to at least on other suspension device. The suspension devices are selectably removable from the array in order to define a space within the sheet which approximates the size of a target area on the body of the user. A disposable garment for the body of a user includes an absorbent portion and a wound are and prevention suspension portion. The absorbent portion has fluid pervious inner sheet, a fluid impervious outer sheet and at least one layer of absorbent material disposed between the inner and outer sheets. The wound are and prevention suspension portion is coupled to the absorbent portion.

  • Patent number: 6539296
Abstract: A communication system architecture (SA) for a vehicle which may be integrated into the vehicle's multiplexed electronic component communication system, and a process for communicating with the vehicle to provide information for and about the vehicle's operational status and coordinating the vehicle's activities. The communication system will include a multi-functional antenna system for the vehicle that will have the capability to receive AM/FM radio and television signals, and transmit and receive citizens band (CB) radio signals, satellite and microwave and cellular phone communications. The antenna may be installed as original equipment or as a back-fit part in the after-market. In either case the multi-functional antenna will be integrated with the vehicle's multiplexed electronic component communication system.
