    Abstract: A method of joining the longitudinal ends of a linear belt to form an endless belt configured to be mounted in a conveyor for upward transport of foodstuffs, the joining method comprising steps of: solidarization of the longitudinal ends of the linear belt, formation of at least one recess in the first longitudinal end and in the second longitudinal end of the linear belt so as to uncover at least one reinforcing members and solidarization of a connecting member in the recess, the connecting element comprising additional reinforcing members and shape complementary to said recess, the recess being formed from the product face of the linear belt.
