  • Publication number: 20250127160
Abstract: Stable nanoemulsions of a terpene-rich cannabidiol by-product (TP) and/or its distillate (DTP) can be used to effectively make pesticides, herbicides, and other bioactive products. A terpene-rich by-product (TP) can be provided, suitably by isolation from a commercial cannabidiol production process. The enriched terpene distillate (DTP) can be obtained from steam distillation of some or all of the TP. The TP and/or DTP can be combined with a surfactant to form an emulsion, which can then be sonicated to form the stable nanoemulsion. It has been discovered that the formulation of stable nanoemulsions using the terpene by-products as the lipophilic phase can effectively deliver desired levels of bioactivity while overcoming or mitigating the known drawbacks of high lipophilicity, high volatility, and propensity to thermal and oxidative degradation, all of which can lead to reduced efficacy.

  • Publication number: 20240378330
Abstract: The invention presents a method for optimizing the design of structures or engineering designs utilizing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system, specifically Generative Design AI. The AI system proposes an initial design, which is then iteratively optimized by a structural or design optimization system to maximize or minimize a property under certain constraints. The optimal design is used to construct a real-world structure or object, from which real-world data is gathered under actual use conditions. This data is used to retrain the AI system, facilitating ongoing improvement of the design process. The invention can be applied to a variety of fields, including but not limited to, biomedical devices, civil structures, mechanical systems, and electronic devices, among others.

  • Patent number: 12116498
Abstract: Durable, anti-fouling, crosslinked zwitterionic coatings that are grafted to the surface of a substrate through covalent bonding are disclosed. When exposed to a light source, zwitterionic monomers react with a crosslinker and with activated radicals at the surface of the substrate, simultaneously forming the crosslinked zwitterionic coating and anchoring it to the surface of the substrate. Photomasking techniques can be used to micropattern the zwitterionic coatings. The zwitterionic coatings can be applied to a variety of substrates, including medical devices and systems.

  • Publication number: 20240319778
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for dynamic power reduction in ultrasound systems are described. Subsystems including a first subsystem to be placed in a reduced power consumption state are determined. The first subsystem includes a receive path having a receiver to receive acoustic signals representing echoes. A control subsystem to control clocking of the receive path in response to at least one of a plurality of real-time signals is determined. The control subsystem is configured to provide one or more clocks to the receive path to turn on the receiver while valid echo signals are expected to arrive at the receiver At least one of the plurality of real-time signals indicates a state of imaging operations. The control subsystem is configured to provide one or more clocks to the receive path during a first mode based on the state of the imaging operations.

  • Patent number: 11594980
Abstract: Technologies for alternating current regulation controller include a controller configured to determine a voltage duty cycle based on a target voltage, and to determine a delay time based on the voltage duty cycle. The controller is coupled to input phases of an alternating current generator having multiple phases. Each phase is coupled to a silicon controlled rectifier. For each phase, the controller identifies a rising edge asserted on the input phase, waits the delay time after identifying the rising edge, and asserts an output pulse on an output driver coupled to the silicon controlled rectifier coupled to the input phase in response to waiting the delay time. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
