  • Patent number: 11766093
Abstract: Foamed articles including a foamed thermoplastic elastomeric material, methods of making the articles, and methods for manufacturing articles of footwear, apparel, and athletic equipment incorporating the articles are provided. One exemplary method for making a foamed article comprises placing an article comprising a foamable material and carbon dioxide in a vessel, the foamable material; maintaining the vessel at a first pressure and first temperature at which the carbon dioxide is a liquid and carbon dioxide is soluble in the foamable material; optionally exposing the infused article to a second temperature and second pressure; and subjecting the article to a third pressure and third temperature at which the infused carbon dioxide phase transitions to a gas, thereby expanding the foamable material into a foamed material and forming the foamed article.

  • Patent number: 11497870
Abstract: A system adapted to regulate pressure of a flow of breathable gas generated by a motorized blower fan. The system may include a flow estimation analyzer adapted to receive a speed signal representative of a speed of the fan and estimate a parameter representative of the flow of breathable gas (e.g., a flow rate of the breathable gas). The parameter may be determined by inputting the speed signal into a function (e.g., an equation, matrix, or lookup table), which may be selected from a plurality of predetermined functions. The predetermined function may be selected based upon a specific characteristic of the speed signal as identified at the time of estimation of the parameter representative of flow.

  • Patent number: 11352118
Abstract: A method for controlling propulsion of at least two marine drives on a marine vessel includes monitoring an engine output indicator for each of the at least two marine drives on the marine vessel and detecting whether the engine output indicator for a subset of those at least two marine drives is below an expected value. If so, then an output restriction is imposed on at least one remaining marine drive not in the subset of marine drives, wherein the output restriction reduces an engine output of the at least one remaining marine drive to a predetermined level.

  • Publication number: 20220122073
Abstract: Described herein are various embodiments of methods and systems for distributing temporary control of an asset. For example, a method can include receiving an indication of an execution of a transfer of temporary control between a granting entity and a receiving entity of a unit of an asset comprising a plurality of units. Transaction data comprising a duration of the temporary control of the unit can be received and recorded in a distributed ledger of a blockchain network. Logic and rules corresponding to conditions of transfer of the temporary control of the unit of the asset can be identified. The method can include receiving a granting entity authentication key and determining that whether the transaction data meet the logic and the rules of the conditions of transfer.

  • Publication number: 20220048229
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing a formable material having at least first and second relatively repositionable units. The first unit has a sheet die, with the second unit having a rotary drum with a peripheral forming surface for receiving flowable material from the sheet die. The first and second units can be selectively changed between an operating relationship and a setup relationship, with the latter causing at least one space to be defined/enlarged and within which an operator can maneuver to gain access to a region of at least one of the first and second units. With the first and second units in the operating relationship, moldable sheets can be processed by causing the moldable sheets to be applied, and conformed, to the peripheral forming surface on the rotary drum.

  • Patent number: 11052592
Abstract: An extruder assembly has a frame with upstream and downstream ends. A barrel assembly on the frame has a passage. At least one material advancing component resides at least partially within the passage and is configured to be turned around an operating axis to thereby cause material to be conveyed from a passage inlet to a passage outlet. A drive assembly turns the at least one material advancing component around its operating axis and has a motor on the frame situated so that at least a part of the motor is in lengthwise overlapping relationship with the barrel assembly. The drive assembly is configured to turn the one material advancing component around its operating axis at a speed of at least 300 rpm.
