  • Publication number: 20240100288
Abstract: Hybrid ventilation apparatuses, systems and methods are provided. Some example mechanical ventilation apparatuses include a gas delivery system, at least one oxygen concentrator for generating oxygen enriched gas for delivery to a patient, at least one pressurized oxygen source for providing oxygen for delivery to the patient, and a controller. Based at least in part on an FIO2 setting for the gas to be delivered to the patient, the controller may determine an oxygen enriched gas flow rate of the oxygen enriched gas and a pressurized oxygen source flow rate of the oxygen from the at least one pressurized oxygen source, for the gas to be delivered to the patient. The controller may control the gas delivery system to deliver the gas to the patient in accordance with the FIO2 setting, the determined oxygen enriched gas flow rate, and the determined pressurized oxygen source flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20240092190
Abstract: Techniques control a utility vehicle. Such techniques involve storing electric power in a lithium battery of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve operating a motor controller of the utility vehicle in a normal mode in which the motor controller provides electric power from a lithium battery of the utility vehicle to an electric motor of the utility vehicle to turn one or more ground engaging members of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve, after operating the motor controller in the normal operating mode, operating the motor controller in a walkaway mode in which the motor controller configures the electric motor to provide braking torque.

  • Patent number: 11919847
Abstract: The invention relates to an efficient, high-throughput method of converting monoterpenes to high performance aviation fuel blendstocks. The method is a one pot, two-step process that includes a dehydration step followed by a hydrogenation step. Both steps can proceed without the use of solvents. Use of biosynthetically generated monoterpenes by this method produces sustainable aviation fuel blendstocks having applications that include use as a full-performance or an ultra-performance jet fuel blendstock.

  • Publication number: 20220322024
Abstract: An audio system and a method of determining an audio filter based on a position of an audio device of the audio system, are described. The audio system receives an image of the audio device being worn by a user and determines, based on the image and a known geometric relationship between a datum on the audio device and an electroacoustic transducer of the audio device, a relative position between the electroacoustic transducer and an anatomical feature of the user. The audio filter is determined based on the relative position. The audio filter can be applied to an audio input signal to render spatialized sound to the user through the electroacoustic transducer, or the audio filter can be applied to a microphone input signal to capture speech of the user by the electroacoustic transducer. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11299975
Abstract: A method is described for determining a measure of geo-mechanical strength of subterranean rock at the cutting surface of a drill bit during drilling using a single measurement related to mechanical power at the drill bit. This measurement in combination with a measure of volumetric rate of rock failure defines an expression for mechanical specific energy (SMSE). SMSE is the mechanical power at the drill bit divided by volumetric rate of rock failure over any time interval. A method is described for predicting geo-mechanical and physical properties (lithology) of subterranean rock at the cutting surface of a drill bit during drilling operations using machine learning (data analytical) model(s). Said models are driven by a set of subterranean measurements related to the structural, physical response of subterranean rock mechanical failure in combination with the measure of SMSE.

The plate portion has a first side adapted to be disposed facing a ground and a second side disposed opposite to the first side. The duct portion is connected to the plate portion and extends away from the plate portion. Further, the duct portion defines a channel for directing a flow of air from the first side to the second side. Also, the screen is disposed at an outlet of the channel to prevent an ingress of debris to the second side.
