  • Publication number: 20220108745
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to improved foggy-fine programming. The data can be written to SLC memory. Then, the data can be decoded and then both foggy and finely written to MLC. After the decoding, the data can be stored in DRAM located in a front end or in a SRAM located in a flash manager prior to being written to MLC. After storing in either the DRAM or SRAM, the data is then decoded and written to MLC.

  • Patent number: 11275716
Abstract: An approach is provided for tracking a single process instance flow. A request is received in a first system of a multi-system environment. Log files are pulled from systems with which the request interacts. Log entries are captured for the request. The log files are combined and flattened into a chronological log. A predictive model is built from an order of entries in the chronological log. Correlation keys in the entries of the chronological log are identified. Logs specifying processing of multiple ongoing requests are aggregated. A process instance of interest to a user is received. Instance specific log files are generated by deflattening the aggregated logs and by using a pattern detection algorithm that uses the predictive model and an alternate identifier algorithm that uses the correlation keys. One of the generated instance specific log files specifies a flow of the process instance of interest.

  • Patent number: 11236923
Abstract: An HVAC controller is configured to receive signals from a plurality of sensors positioned in different spaces. The HVAC controller includes a controller that is configured to display one or more screens on a user interface that include a home screen including a selectable display element that indicates a number of the plurality of sensors that are currently being used by the controller in controlling the HVAC system. Upon selection of the selectable display element, the controller displays a sensor priority screen that includes a plurality of graphic constructs that each identify a building space and a current temperature for that building space. The controller is configured to control the HVAC system in accordance with the current temperature reported by each of the number of the plurality of sensors that are currently being used by the controller in controlling the HVAC system.

  • Patent number: 11226226
Abstract: A weighing and labeling system has an electronic scale, label printer, and at least one controller. The controller stores information about incoming food packages and drives the printer to produce labels based on the stored information and the weight of the food packages. The labels are transferred to the food packages. Some elements of the system are located in sealable cabinets, and further, some of the elements are mounted on the interior surface on doors hinged to the sealable cabinets. This is advantageous in food production environments requiring frequent cleaning of equipment with sprayed water. In some embodiments the sealable cabinets are positioned on vertical masts and rotatable on the masts.

  • Patent number: 11204793
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention provide an approach that evaluates a locally running image (e.g., such as that for a virtual machine (VM)) and determines if that image could run more efficiently and/or more effectively in an alternate computing environment (e.g., a cloud computing environment). Specifically, embodiments of the present invention evaluate the local (existing/target) image's actual and perceived performance, as well as the anticipated/potential performance if the image were to be migrated to an alternate environment. The anticipated/potential performance can be measured based on another image that is similar to the existing/target image but where that image is running in a different computing environment. Regardless, the system would display a recommendation to the end user if it were determined that the image could perform better in the alternate environment (or vice versa). It is understood that performance is just one illustrative metric for which the system would perform a comparison.

  • Patent number: 11199338
Abstract: In some examples, a method for controlling the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in a building includes receiving user input indicating a fallback temperature sensor from a plurality of temperature sensors in the building, the plurality of temperature sensors in the building being associated with a plurality of spaces within the building. The method also includes determining, by the controller, that the plurality of spaces within the building are unoccupied. The method further includes determining, by the controller, a temperature sensed by the fallback temperature sensor based on communication between the controller and the fallback temperature sensor. The method includes causing, by the controller, the HVAC system to turn on or off based on the temperature at the fallback temperature sensor in response to determining that the plurality of spaces within the building are unoccupied.

  • Publication number: 20210377751
Abstract: Communication systems are described that use signal constellations, which have unequally spaced (i.e. ‘geometrically’ shaped) points. In many embodiments, the communication systems use specific geometric constellations that are capacity optimized at a specific SNR, over the Rayleigh fading channel. In addition, ranges within which the constellation points of a capacity optimized constellation can be perturbed and are still likely to achieve a given percentage of the optimal capacity increase compared to a constellation that maximizes dmin, are also described. Capacity measures that are used in the selection of the location of constellation points include, but are not limited to, parallel decode (PD) capacity and joint capacity.
