  • Publication number: 20230187687
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluorination process consisting in bringing an inorganic compound M into contact with an atmosphere comprising difluorine gas, the inorganic compound M being a garnet based on the elements Li, La, Zr, A and O and for which the relative composition of the Li, La, Zr and A cations corresponds to the formula (I): LixLa3ZrzAw.

  • Publication number: 20230041600
Abstract: The disclosure relates to cerium based particles having a rough surface and their use as a component of a polishing composition, especially for chemical mechanical polishing. The cerium based particles have substantially the shape of polyhedrons which have one or more faces with protrusions thereon, said protrusions being integrally formed with said cerium based particles. The present disclosure also relates to the method of preparation of the cerium based particles.

  • Publication number: 20230002639
Abstract: The invention relates to cerium based core-shell particles having a core of cerium oxide optionally doped with at least one metal (M) and a shell consisting of a plurality of nanoparticles of cerium oxide optionally doped with at least one metal (M?), which can be the same or different from metal (M), formed on the surface of the core particle. The invention also relates to dispersions thereof in a liquid medium, to a process for producing the same and to the use of these particles and dispersions in polishing applications such as chemical mechanical polishing.

  • Publication number: 20220278355
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of preparation of a garnet-type inorganic material. It also relates to the garnet-type inorganic material itself. The process comprises the following steps: (1) bringing an aqueous solution S comprising (i) a salt of zirconium, (ii) a salt of lanthanum and (iii) a salt of the element A or a precursor of an oxide of element A into contact with an aqueous solution of a basic compound, as a result of which a precipitate suspended in the reaction medium is obtained; (2) stirring the reaction medium obtained at the end of step (1) for at least 30 min; (3) bringing the precipitate obtained at the end of step (2) into contact with an additive selected in the group consisting of: anionic surfactants; nonionic surfactants; polyethylene glycols; carboxylic acids and their salts; and surfactants of the carboxymethylated fatty alcohol ethoxylate type; (4) calcining in air the precipitate recovered at the end of the previous step at a temperature which is at least 400° C.
