Abstract: A proactive network analysis system is a single unit for diagnosing network problems, measuring network performance, and monitoring network status in a comprehensive manner. The system is a compilation of individual tools including a distributed network packet capture data stream collector; a traffic analyzer; a performance graphing unit; a syslog recorder analyzer and archiving unit; a system availability monitor; a device configuration archiving unit; and a throughput measurement tool. The system can further provide an access list generator, an access list analyzer, a router DNS name generator and a service level agreement measurement device.

A method for secure communication by a processor with a server includes generating a message to the server by employing a one pass key generation probabilistic authentication process using a predetermined session master key and sending the message to the server. A method for secure communication between an application executable on a computer and a web server coupled to the computer includes participating by the application in an initial authentication process with the server and wrapping every GET and POST request message to the server in an SSLX-EA exchange after the initial authentication process.

A method for obtaining a session master key by an application from a server includes sending an open request to the server for the session master key and receiving a first reply by the application from the server with a first portion of the session master key. The application sends an open request to the directory server specified by the server in the first reply for the second portion of the session master key and receives it from the directory server.

Abstract: An open base adjustable pallet for supporting work pieces comprising: at least one carriage rod; a first support member mounted for travel along the carriage rod, the first support member including (a) a torsion spring having a helical portion which encircles the carriage rod and engages the carriage rod when the spring is relaxed and disengages from the second carriage rod when the second spring is compressed; and a second support member mounted on the of carriage rod, wherein the first support member is capable of being adjusted along of carriage rod relative to the second support member, thereby enabling the pallet to receive work pieces of differing sizes.

Abstract: An extruded aluminum sill member is supported by and attached to a wood base member which also supports a longitudinally extending inner wood trim member. The sill, base and trim members define a longitudinally extending cavity which receives a vertically adjustable rail member. The rail member has longitudinally spaced captive screws which are threaded into inverted T-nuts confined within laterally extending slots formed within the wood base member, and the trim member covers the slots. The sill member also extends under a jamb or mullion and a fixed side panel, and a snap-in extruded plastic cap covers the cavity under the panel and has an upwardly projecting and inwardly curved flange with a flexible lip for engaging the outer surface of the panel to form a water-tight seal.

Abstract: An extruded aluminum elongated sill member is supported by a wood base member and includes a sloping top wall integrally connected to a lower base wall positioned within a recess in the wood base member. A longitudinally extending wood trim member is attached to the wood base member and cooperates with the lower base wall to define a longitudinally extending cavity which receives a vertically adjustable rail member. The sill and rail members define corresponding longitudinally extending adjacent slots, and a longitudinally extending sealing member of extruded plastics material includes opposite semi-rigid edge portions with flexible fins which are pressed into the slots. The edge portions are integrally connected by a flexible U-shaped intermediate portion which is confined between the sill and rail members and forms a rolling diaphragm for vertically adjusting the rail member while maintaining a positive water-impervious seal therebetween.

Abstract: A process for reducing the sodium chloride content of crystalline potassium salts without the use of successive recrystallization. The crystalline potassium salts having a sodium chloride content greater than about 0.8 percent by weight are subjected to compacting and crushing to provide a crystalline product having an average particle diameter less than 1.6 millimeters. The crystalline product is leached with a brine at least about 80 percent saturated with said potassium salt and less than 50 percent saturated with sodium chloride to produce a crystalline potassium salt product containing less than about 0.35 percent by weight of sodiumchloride.
