  • Patent number: 8290484
Abstract: A method of recovering a useful signal received by a satellite includes a step of reception by the satellite of a composite signal comprising said useful signal and collision signals, all of these signals being received simultaneously by the satellite, interfering with each other, and respectively being transmitted by transmitters.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 17, 2011
Date of Patent: October 16, 2012
    Assignee: Thales
    Inventors: Thibaud Calmettes, Rémi Challamel

  • Patent number: 7856232
Abstract: The invention relates to a telemetry, control, and ranging link of a satellite; it proposes using spread spectrum transmission for the up link, i.e. for commanding the satellite and for the ranging up signal. It proposes using subcarrier modulation for the down link, i.e. for telemetry and for the ranging down signal. This makes it possible for the up link to withstand interference and to provide co-localization; on the down link, the use of subcarrier modulation makes it possible to continue using existing equipment and known solutions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 4, 2002
Date of Patent: December 21, 2010
    Assignee: Alcatel
Inventors: Rodolphe Nasta, Emile Tonello, Rémi Challamel
