Abstract: The process comprises: introducing a feed flow in a synthesis gas generation unit to form a synthesis gas flow and introducing the synthesis gas flow in a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis unit at least partially removing carbon dioxide from a first flow formed from a Fischer-Tropsch tail gas flow to form a carbon dioxide depleted flow; forming a tail gas recycle flow from the carbon dioxide depleted flow; introducing the tail gas recycle flow in the synthesis gas generation unit and/or in the synthesis gas flow. The process comprises adjusting the carbon dioxide content in the tail gas recycle flow to control the hydrogen to carbon monoxide molar ratio in the synthesis gas flow to a target hydrogen to carbon monoxide molar ratio.
