  • Patent number: 8777365
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for mounting printing heads for depositing fluids on a printing surface. The invention more particularly relates to a printing head mounting for improving the deposition precision and properties for a plurality of fluids. In order to do so, the present invention provides a printing head mounting having a geometric revolution axis about which are provided at least two means for maintaining printing heads. To this end, the invention provides a printing head holder that comprises at least two means (4) for maintaining printing heads (6) as well as anchoring means (10) for an observation module (12), characterized in that it comprises a geometric revolution axis (1) about which are provided the means (4) for maintaining the printing heads (6).

Date of Patent: July 15, 2014
    Assignee: Ceradrop
    Inventors: Remi Noguera, Cédric Coquet

  • Publication number: 20100294549
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for making multi-material three-dimensional components providing a mechanical link between thin layers. To this end, the disclosure provides a method for making a multi-material three-dimensional component that includes at least first and second materials. The method includes making at least two superimposed printed layers along discrete space routes of a printing travel, the printed layers being made by the contactless deposition of localised impacts of printing droplets, and a homogenous printed layer includes at least the first material, with the second material being excluded, while at least one mixed printed layer includes the first material, and at least the second material.

  • Patent number: 7747341
Abstract: Producing a three-dimensional multi-material component whereby successive layers of at least one material are printed by a drop ink-jet-type printer including cutting a representation of the multi-material component into remarkable objects; cutting the representation of the component into print layers, as a function of the remarkable objects; for each print layer, establishing a plurality of discrete spatial print path trajectories; for each print layer and for each discrete spatial trajectory, establishing an assembly of printing parameters which are dependent on the nature of the deposited materials and the deposition conditions thereof; and establishing a rule for the spatial and temporal sequencing of the print path of the print layers and of the discrete spatial trajectories as a function of the objects, the relative three-dimensional arrangement thereof and the characteristics of the printing device.
