  • Patent number: 9251122
Abstract: A method for estimating a molecular mass parameter in a sample that includes at least one component of given molecular mass, comprising the steps consisting of passing the sample through a processing chain comprising a mass spectrometer with a MEMS or NEMS electromechanical sensor, in this way obtaining a signal representing the molecular mass parameter and estimating the molecular mass parameter by means of a signal processing device. The molecular mass parameter is defined on the basis of a parameter of time distribution of successive detections, by the MEMS or NEMS electromechanical sensor, of the adsorption of said component, and the estimation of the molecular mass parameter is made by Bayesian inference, on the basis of a direct analytical modeling of said signal according to the molecular mass parameter and to technical parameters of the processing chain comprising at least one technical parameter of the MEMS or NEMS electromechanical sensor.

  • Patent number: 6606919
Abstract: The invention relates to a roll (1) for measuring the flatness of a band (M) comprising a tubular body (12) with a cylindrical external face (11) and a number of sensors each consisting of a feeler (2) mounted in a housing (3) provided in a recess in the thickness of the tubular body (12) and closed by a protection wall (50) whose deformations are measured by the feeler (2). According to the invention, each housing (3) is closed by a hollow piece in the shape of a lid (5) comprising a bottom made of an elastically deformable thin wall (50) and a peripheral part in the form of a bushing (53) encased without any clearance in the housing (3) and forming an embedding foot for the thin wall (50).

  • Patent number: 6065713
Abstract: A revolver-type coiler comprising at least two rotary chucks (21, 22) carried by a revolving mounting (1) enabling to place each chuck (21), successively into a first position (A) for starting the winding operation, then into a second position (B) for completion of the winding and unloading of the coil (3). The coiler comprises a continuous supporting device (4, 41, 5) for the end (24) of each chuck (21) opposite to the mounting (1) from the first starting position (A) to the complete winding position (B), comprising at least one rotary removable resting member (4) resting on the fixed frame (12) and installed to rotate, with the revolving mounting (1) in order to support the end (24) of the chuck (21) from the first starting position (A) to the second complete winding position (B).

  • Patent number: 5904313
Abstract: A turntable coiler for reeling a strip product, comprising a frame mounted rotatably around a central axis, and at least two fixed cantilever reeling mandrels, each in the alignment of a rotation shaft mounted rotatably on two spaced centering bearings. Each mandrel is connected to a motor comprising a rotor fastened to the shaft of the mandrel, and a stator. Each mandrel, its rotation shaft with both bearings and the motor form a motor-mandrel assembly mounted in an independent chassis on which are fastened the stator of the motor and both centering bearings of the shaft carrying the rotor, and the rotary frame is provided with at least two supporting devices, connected to removable bolts for centering and fastening the chassis of the motor-mandrel assembly, in a position for which the reeling axis defined by the bearings is parallel to the central axis, and each motor-mandrel assembly thus constitutes an interchangeable module.
