  • Patent number: 5003739
Abstract: A pre-fabricated and modular chimney facade system (10) is provided for a chimney stack (12) passing at least partially therethrough. The chimney facade system (10) is adapted to be secured to a roof member (14) of a building structure. The chimney facade system (10) includes a first base housing (18) and a second base housing (20) mounted in vertical relationship each to the other. The first base housing (18) is secured to an external surface of the roof member (14) through internally directed horizontally directed flange members (46). Portions of base housings (18 and 20) are joined together through interfacing relationships of one piece sidewall members (40 and 42) for base housing (18) and L-shaped sidewall panel members (24 and 26) for second base housing (20). First and second base housings (18 and 20) are vertically secured each to the other through nested and interfacing relationships between vertically directed flange members (60 and 62).

  • Patent number: 4686807
Abstract: A structurally reinforced, pre-fabricated and modular chimney facade system (10) is provided for enclosing a chimney stack (12) passing therethrough. The chimney facade system (10) is adapted to be secured to an external wall (16) of a building structure (14). The chimney facade system (10) includes a first one-piece base housing (22) and at least a second one-piece base housing (24) adapted to be mounted to base foundation housing (26). Facade system (10) includes a structural support mechanism (36) for at least the first and second one-piece base housings (22 and 24) for coupling each to the other and for coupling the combination to the building structure (14). The structural support mechanism (36) includes a mechanism for adjustably applying a force loading between the external wall (16) of the building structure (14) at least the combination of the first and second one-piece base housings (22 and 24).

  • Patent number: 4593510
Abstract: A pre-fabricated and modular chimney facade system (10) is provided for enclosing a chimney stack (12) passing therethrough. The chimney facade system (10) is adapted to be secured to an external wall (16) of a building structure (14). The chimney facade system includes a one-piece base housing (18) which is adapted to be mounted to a base foundation member (20) and to the external wall (16). The base housing (18) is vertically aligned with and coupled to a transition housing (44) which is fixedly secured to the external wall (16) of the building structure (14). Additional housing members are modularly coupled to the transition housing (44) to provide a complete enclosure for smoke stack (12). The housing (18, 44) as well as additional housing units (74, 102) and cap housing (120) are formed in one-piece formation and generally molded of a plastic composition. In this manner, there is provided a lightweight easily assembled chimney facade system (10).
