Abstract: An ultrasound diagnostic system and a method for forming IQ data without a quadrature demodulator are disclosed. Ultrasound echoes from a target object are converted into analog signals, which have a center frequency. The analog signals are converted into digital signals and parts of the digital signals are extracted at a rate of n-times of the center frequency, wherein “n” is a positive integer. Focused-receiving signals are formed with the extracted digital signals and IQ data are obtained by selecting at least one pair of the focused-receiving signals. The focused-receiving signals in each pair have a phase difference of ?/4 with respect to each other, where “?” is a wavelength determined with the center frequency.

Abstract: There is provided an ultrasound diagnostic system, which includes: a unit for forming transmit signals, wherein waveforms of the transmit signals vary depending on whether or not a stress is applied to a target object; a probe for converting the transmit signals into ultrasound signals and forming receive signals based on ultrasound echo signals reflected from the target object in the presence and absence of the stress; a processor for computing a displacement and a strain of the target object due to the stress based on the receive signals; and a post-processing unit for forming an ultrasound elastic image based on the strain.

Abstract: There is provided an ultrasound diagnostic system adapted to provide an elastic image with additional information. The ultrasound diagnostic system comprises: a probe for receiving echo signals from a target object, the probe being configured to transfer a pressure applied by an user to the target object; an elastic image processor for producing an elastic image and an additional information related thereto based on each of the echo signals before and after applying the pressure; and a display for displaying the elastic image and the additional information, which are inputted from the elastic image processor. The additional information includes an elastic image map and a strain ratio of a medium.
