  • Publication number: 20140220934
Abstract: There are provided measures for access control of a relay node with a closed subscriber group, said measures exemplarily comprising retrieval of setting information relating to a closed subscriber group of a base station function of a relay node, said relay node requesting access to a relay-enhanced cellular system via a donor base station, acquisition of setting information relating to a closed subscriber group of the donor base station, and execution of access control of the base station function of the relay node based on the setting information relating to the closed subscriber groups of the base station function of the relay node and the donor base station.

  • Publication number: 20130053048
Abstract: There is proposed a mechanism providing functions of a so-called hybrid home node B (HHNB) where subscribers, depending on their belonging to a specific subscriber group, such as a closed subscriber group or an open subscriber group, are admitted for a connection to the communication network via different connection routes and systems. After a request for connecting a subscriber is received, an identification process is performed whether the subscriber belongs to a first subscriber group (CSG) or to a second subscriber group (OSG). On the basis of this identification, the subscriber is assigned to a first connection route or a second connection route. It is then checked whether available resources on the assigned connection route are sufficient, wherein on the basis of this check the request for connecting is allowed or rejected.

  • Publication number: 20120083199
Abstract: It is described a method for partitioning radio transmission resources within a telecommunication network. The method includes (a) preparing a handover of a user equipment from a source access point being assigned to a source side of the telecommunication network to a target access point being assigned to a target side of the telecommunication network, (b) transferring a pre-announcement message from the source side to the target side indicating the handover, wherein the pre-announcement message is indicative for the amount of data traffic being associated with the user equipment, and (c) partitioning the radio transmission resources on the target side based on the pre-announcement message. It is further described a source side network element and a target side network element for controlling a partitioning of radio transmission resources within a telecommunication network. Furthermore, a computer program for controlling the above described method is described.

  • Publication number: 20110190027
Abstract: It is described a method for transmitting a synchronization signal within a cellular telecommunication network. The method includes activating a first base station of the cellular telecommunication network, informing at least one second base station, which is a potentially interfering base station with respect to the first base station, about the activation of the first base station, and broadcasting the synchronization signal by the at least one second base station with a temporarily increased transmitting power. It is further described a second base station for transmitting a synchronization signal to another base station of the cellular telecommunication network and a central network element, which is adapted to prompt a base station in order to transmit a synchronization signal. Furthermore, it is described a program element, which is adapted for controlling the described synchronization signal transmitting method.

  • Publication number: 20110165871
Abstract: It is described a method for distributing network characteristic information within a cellular telecommunication network, which includes a first cell including a first base station and a first relay node and a second cell including a second base station. The method comprises includes carrying out an interference measurement by the first relay node, wherein the interference measurement yields a measurement value being indicative for the inter cell interference between the second base station and the first relay node, and forwarding the measurement value from the first relay node to the second base station. Further, it is described a relay node and a base station, which are adapted, in conjunction with each other, to carry out the described distributing method. Furthermore, computer program for controlling the described distributing method is described.
