  • Patent number: 8474907
Abstract: A car seat has a base for placement on a vehicle seat and a seat shell attachable to and detachable from the base. A latch mechanism is biased to a latched arrangement attaching the shell to the base. A release actuator is connected to the latch mechanism and can move the latch mechanism to a released arrangement, detaching the shell from the base permitting its removal from the base. The shell can be optionally adjustable on the base between at least two different recline positions. The latch mechanism in the latched arrangement can then also retain the shell in one of the recline positions. A recline actuator can be connected to the latch mechanism and can move the latch mechanism allowing adjustment of the shell recline position but not permitting removal from the base.

  • Patent number: 8424900
Abstract: Stroller trays and methods of mounting the same on strollers are disclosed. An example stroller tray mates with a tray mount mounted to the stroller frame proximate a seat. The example tray includes a tray portion and an arm. The tray portion is cantilevered on the arm to extend in front of or over a portion of the seat. When mounted to the stroller, the stroller tray does not extend completely from one side of the stroller frame to the other to facilitate egress to the stroller seat.

  • Publication number: 20100244543
Abstract: A child seat harness system has first and second lap belt straps extendable generally toward one another. A buckle assembly of the system has first and second buckle connectors each coupled to the respective first and second lap belt straps. The buckle assembly is positioned and configured to releasably latch the first and second lap belt straps at the buckle assembly. The system has a release mechanism that is configured, when actuated, to detach the first and second buckle sections at the buckle assembly. The system also has first and second shoulder straps extending collaterally up and away from the buckle assembly. A chest clip has two clip sections, one each coupled to a respective one of the first and second shoulder straps. The two clip sections are configured to releasably engage one another and are positioned above the buckle assembly. The release mechanism also disengages the two clip sections from one another when actuated.
