Abstract: Systems and methods for managing surgical sponges. A dispenser assembly coupled to a main support includes an internal or first storage location to removably receive a carton of sponge sorters, and an external or second storage location to removably support a carton of surgical draping. At least one arm may be supported on the housing and movable between an undeployed position and a deployed position. The arm may include weighing means to measure a weight of the surgical sponge being disposed in a sponge sorter supported by the arm. The arm may be a cantilever and abeam load cell may be disposed within a channel of a beam. A processor may determine fluid weight based on measured weight and dry weight correlated with the surgical sponge being counted out as detected with a data reader. The processor may estimate blood loss to be displayed on a display.

  • Publication number: 20240127367
Abstract: A crop prediction system performs various machine learning operations to predict crop production and to identify a set of farming operations that, if performed, optimize crop production. The crop prediction system uses crop prediction models trained using various machine learning operations based on geographic and agronomic information. Responsive to receiving a request from a grower, the crop prediction system can access information representation of a portion of land corresponding to the request, such as the location of the land and corresponding weather conditions and soil composition. The crop prediction system applies one or more crop prediction models to the access information to predict a crop production and identify an optimized set of farming operations for the grower to perform.

  • Publication number: 20230024865
Abstract: An aircraft passenger suite (100) is provided. The suite (100) comprises an aircraft seat (110) for use by a passenger. The suite (100) also comprises a controller for controlling a number of output states (240) of the suite, the controller comprising a logic condition receiver operable to receive a logic condition input (210). The suite (100) also comprises sensor equipment operable to provide a sensor input (220) to the controller, the sensor input (220) providing an indication of at least one attribute of a passenger of the suite (100). The sensor equipment comprises one or more of: an image sensor (151, 152) a pressure sensor (154) and a physiological sensor. The controller is configured to control at least one of the output states (240) of the suite based on both the logic condition input (210) and the sensor input (220).

  • Publication number: 20210347484
Abstract: The present invention provides an aircraft passenger seat unit comprising a seat, a privacy shell having a primary opening to allow entry to and exit from the seat unit, a storage unit comprising one or more holders for supporting clothes and a door movable between a first position in which the door at least partially blocks off the primary opening, and a second position in which the door at least partially closes access to holders of the storage unit. The invention also provides an aircraft passenger seat unit in which the door fully blocks off the primary opening, so that passenger entry and exit is prevented, in the first position. The invention also provides an aircraft passenger seat unit in which the door is arranged to move in a direction offset from an angle of the privacy shell adjacent the opening.
