Publication number: 20180156243Abstract: A hydraulic system (600) and method for reducing boom dynamics of a boom (30), while providing counter-balance valve protection, includes a hydraulic cylinder (110), first and second counter-balance valves (300, 400), first and second control valves (700, 800), and a selection valve set (850). The selection valve set is adapted to self-configure to a first configuration and to a second configuration when a net load (90) is supported by a first chamber (116, 118) and a second chamber (118, 116) of the hydraulic cylinder, respectively. When the selection valve set is enabled in the first and second configurations, the second and first control valve may fluctuate hydraulic fluid flow to the second and first chamber, respectively, to produce a vibratory response (950) that counters environmental vibrations (960) of the boom. When the selection valve set is not enabled, the first and second counter-balance valves are adapted to provide the hydraulic cylinder with conventional counter-balance valve protection.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2017Publication date: June 7, 2018Applicant: EATON CORPORATIONInventor: Meng (Rachel) WANG

Publication number: 20160298660Abstract: A hydraulic system (600) and method for reducing boom dynamics of a boom (30), while providing counter-balance valve protection, includes a hydraulic actuator (110), first and second counter-balance valves (300, 400), first and second control valves (700, 800), and first and second blocking valves (350, 450). A net load (90) is supported by a first chamber (116, 118) of the hydraulic actuator, and a second chamber (118, 116) of the hydraulic actuator may receive fluctuating hydraulic fluid flow from the second control valve to produce a vibratory response (950) that counters environmental vibrations (960) on the boom. The first blocking valve prevents the fluctuating hydraulic fluid flow from opening the first counter-balance valve. The first blocking valve may drain leakage from the first counter-balance valve.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2014Publication date: October 13, 2016Inventors: Meng (Rachel) WANG, Michael Berne RANNOW

Patent number: 9467263Abstract: Techniques for transmitting data and pilot for control information are described. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may spread a reference signal sequence with a first orthogonal sequence to obtain multiple pilot sequences. The UE may then send the multiple pilot sequences on multiple subcarriers in multiple symbol periods, one pilot sequence in each symbol period. The UE may modulate the reference signal sequence with control information (e.g., ACK information) to obtain a modulated sequence. The UE may spread the modulated sequence with a second orthogonal sequence to obtain multiple data sequences. The UE may then send the multiple data sequences on the multiple subcarriers in multiple symbol periods for data. In another aspect, the UE may send multiple pilot sequences on multiple subcarriers in multiple symbol periods separated by at least one symbol period, one pilot sequence in each symbol period.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2014Date of Patent: October 11, 2016Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Hao Xu, Durga Prasad Malladi, Rachel Wang

Patent number: 8750917Abstract: Techniques for transmitting control information in a wireless communication system are described. The system may support acknowledgement (ACK) channels and channel quality indicator (CQI) channels, which may have different target signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). The ACK and CQI channels from different user equipments (UEs) may be multiplexed on the same resource block. In one design, the transmit power of a CQI channel may be set to achieve a nominal target SNR for CQI when not multiplexed with the ACK channels and may be reduced to achieve a lower target SNR when multiplexed with the ACK channels. In another design, the transmit power of an ACK channel may be set to achieve a nominal target SNR for ACK when not multiplexed with the CQI channels and may be boosted to achieve a higher target SNR when multiplexed with the CQI channels. The CQI channel may randomly hop to mitigate performance degradation.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2008Date of Patent: June 10, 2014Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Hao Xu, Durga Prasad Malladi, Rachel Wang
