  • Patent number: 8246675
Abstract: A kit for implanting in a duct, which includes a tubular endoprosthesis and a prosthetic valve is disclosed. The prosthetic valve includes a carrier frame that is radially deformable in elastic manner relative to a central axis of the tubular endoprosthesis between a deployed, implanted position, and a folded, implanting position. The carrier frame is urged elastically towards its deployed position. A flexible shutter is connected to the carrier frame. The shutter is deformable between an obstruction position in which it is extended transversely, and a release position in which it is contracted transversely under to allow a fluid to flow through the carrier frame. The carrier frame also includes an integrated centripetal compressing mechanism for centripetally compressing the carrier frame towards folded position.

  • Publication number: 20070198097
Abstract: The kit comprises a tubular endoprosthesis and a prosthetic valve which comprises a carrier frame that is radially deformable in elastic manner relative to a main axis between a deployed, implanted position and a folded, implanting position. The carrier frame is urged elastically towards its deployed position. A flexible shutter is connected to the carrier frame. It is deformable between an obstruction position in which it is extended transversely, and a release position in which it is contracted transversely under the action of the flow flowing through the carrier frame. The frame includes means integrated therein for centripetally compressing said carrier frame towards its folded position against the elastic action.

  • Patent number: 6589277
Abstract: A flanged prosthesis (10) comprises a tubular body (18) equipped at one end with an external flange (19) designed for the anastomosis of the prosthesis to a tubular duct equipped with an opening. The flange (19) is made of a textile material and comprises at least one seam (324, 360, 362) shaping it at the end of the tubular body (18).

  • Patent number: 6187020
Abstract: The invention concerns a connecting device for anastomosis of a vascular prosthesis to a tubular conduit in which a lateral or terminal opening has been formed, the prosthesis including, at a connecting end, a turned-back portion forming an annular layer whose free edge is adapted to be pressed onto the immediate vicinity of the rim of the tubular conduit. The connecting device includes a set of fasteners each of which is adapted to press the annular layer onto the rim of the opening. It further includes an annular support along which the fasteners are distributed. The fitting device includes a connecting device and a releasable holding mechanism for holding the fasteners in the open position. The implant comprises a vascular prosthesis and a fitting device.

  • Patent number: 5893886
Abstract: The invention relates to a vascular prosthesis capable of being anastomosed onto a tubular pipe with a side opening or an end opening. The prothesis having, at at least one of its ends, an annular sheet delimited by a free edge designed to be positioned in the immediate vicinity of opening in the pipe. The sheet is shaped so that it can be applied around the opening in the pipe against the inside or outside wall of the latter, while preserving its free edge in the immediate vicinity of the periphery of the opening in the pipe.
